The whole stay was brilliant. Hosts very warm and welcoming. Room clean. Breakfast was fabulous and plenty of cereals or fresh fruit if not wanting hot food. Will 100 percent stay again if back on achill.

BEYOND EXCELLENT

B&B run by three generations of the family. Excellent value. Great welcome from Mari and her family. Extensive breakfast from fruit, yoghurt and cereal through to the full Irish breakfast, with a good vegetarian option too.
Tea making facility in the bedroom.
The seaweed bath was great! looking out over Keel bay. Give a bit of advance notice as they collect the seaweed fresh. 
I took a few morning strolls down to the eastern end of Keel beach - you could walk along the beach to the village if you wished.

Comfortable and Cozy.
Nice clean room with shower, TV and kettle for coffee. Comfortable beds and a pleasant stay overall. Reasonable priced with options for seaweed baths. Within in a drive of all restaurants and amenities in Achill. No breakfast at the min due to covid restrictions so head for Ted's Bar beside Circle K Petrol station for a nice breakfast bap.

Comfortable and Cozy

This B&B is NOT serving breakfast and does NOT have tea coffee facilities or even have bottled water. Cramped room and even more cramped bathroom. Will not be returning or could not recommend to anyone. Nearest pub 50mts would appear to be long since closed !!!

Avoid

Perfect stay for a very large family group. The chalet was a bonus as our group used it as a gathering point. Rooms spacious, clean and beds so comfy. Geraldine and Mari were lovely hosts and offered plenty of good advice on places to eat. Breakfast very tasty and substantial. Great play area with swings for the children too. Seaweed baths also a big hit.

Perfect for large group

In Achill for the annual half marathon and 10k, this was the perfect location about a mile from the race start and just 50 metres from the excellent Cross Bar and restaurant. Beautiful views, cosy rooms and an excellent breakfast but better than that was the warm welcome from the hosts, the Kilbane family. Only regret was we didn't find time for one of their famous seaweed baths.

If I could give a 10 I would! ABSOLUTELY fantastic!! Next time we go to Ireland, we definitely know where to stay! Seaweed bath was relaxing and therapeutic, took some aches away from driving the country. Breakfast and tea were top notch!

Relaxing and fantastic!

Stayed here with my two children for 4 days in August.  We had a family room which was compact but nice and clean with plenty of storage.  Tea and coffee facilities and room cleaned every day.  Shower cubicle a bit tight, but fine for us.  The highlight was breakfast: every selection of juice you can think of and cereals, really good coffee.  We went for the cooked breakfast every day which was delicious, especially the boxty!!  Very close to the Cross Bar, a little bit outside Keel itself though.  Very quiet spot and near beautiful beaches.  Would definitely recommend as long as you don’t want to be within close walking distance of Keel.  Hosts are lovely as well!

Delicious breakfast

Myself and My wife went to Achill Island for 2 nights & 3 day trip  We orignally live in Dublin so we been to many counties in Ireland .We have experiences in different b&b and we know more or less what to expect. My review is based on my experience and comparison with other B&B's I stayed in the past.

When we arrived Geraldine  showed our room which is hill and sea view however sea was bit far to be honest. We were charged 10 euros extra for sea view . We were fine with it but Room was very tiny , bed was so small too. Bathroom shower room was very tiny too. We relaised why ? because it was an attic room . Now generally attic rooms can be big but for some reason our was tiny. Geraldien is a nice lady but it can be hit and miss with her. So Day 1 on the day of arrival was like not so good , she wasnt in best mood may be. Day 2 was better , Day 3 on the day of check out.she was in the best mood I would say. she served me breakfast very well even better than day 2. I feel overall from Irish b&b you do expect more warmth and better services specially where host lives too . She was not bad but I felt something was still missing.

Breakfast was good  there were loads of option even for vegetarians. So they made scrambled eggs for me but if you ask her to make Omlette they wont. I dont understand if you can make scrambledd egss but why not omlete.Now in fairness  omlete wasnt in their Breakfast menu now.

Location is good . Its very near to Keel Beach and closeby places too. If you wish to visit Achill Island you definatelly need a car as thats the best way to go different spots as there is no public transportation there. May be cycling can be done but then again for hilly areas or spots  it can be too much cycling.

Seaweed bath is very very good. Now thats the main reason I booked this b&b . This b&b offer seaweed bath at reasonable price. Geraldine who is the owner her daughter Mary offer seaweed bath and its very nice , refreshing and theraupetic too. If you are booking this b&b do it for seaweed bath and for breakfast too. 

In totality I can give this b&b 3.5 to 4 stars. No option of 3.5 so giving 4. If room was good or even host was more welcoming then  would have given 5 stars.

Breakfast was good , Seawood was good . Room was okay only. It was very tiny.

We stayed at Mulhollow BnB on Achill Island in late June 2018. The location is wonderful - easy to find, peaceful, quiet, lovely views of grazing sheep.... tranquil is the best word to describe this place. Our room was spotless. The bed was comfy cozy. Our hosts were wonderful and helpful. And our breakfast was yummy and filling.

But the seaweed baths! Oh the seaweed baths! Relaxing in a warm, luxurious bath, overlooking tranquil fields of grazing sheep, with a slight breeze blowing the sheer curtains... bliss.
