A very nice and welcoming place, very nicely and recently furbished room, I had a wonderful sleep in that part of the countryside. The owners are very accomodating and the breakfast was excellent ! Staff is friendly and the countryside lovely. Thanks, Christine B.

A very enjoyable place !

Just back from staying in the hostel with my daughter and children. I was never on a farm before.  Very peaceful,  fresh air and happy animals.  Very modern bathroom, and  I was pleased that they thought of putting on a notice of instructions for using their very modern shower, never saw that in hotels.  Great location for Claremorris town, Knock and Westport and excellent value for money.  Thanks Mary and Eddie.

Quiet, clean, comfy  with wifi and great showers.

Kitchen so you can cook dinners + breakfast.

HIghly recommended.

Perfect if you are travelling with kids, plus there are farm animals ..... donkey, small horse and have previously seen goats.

Feels like middle of nowhere .... but central to loads of places !

I've stayed here quite a few times.  
Comfy rooms, wifi, quiet location & in winter - there is a log fire ! 
A hostel and a B&B on same site. 

My review is for the hostel.  Fab kitchen, stocked with essentials, cook tops, stove, fridge etc.  Showers come with great (printed) instructions on how to use ....  you'd think showers would be obvious (on how to use !) ..... not in Ireland !!!  

It's not where Google Maps shows it ...  (unless the proprietors fix it ... they didn't realise they could move the pin !) Keep driving up the road and past the school where you will find a sign to the hostel.

Great base for exploring !

Could not have been any better or easier google map said it was 12 mins from venue but only seemed like 5.  Never actually met Eddie but he was on the phone and text and very helpful.  Room was spotless and toasty warm.  Slept really well lovely hot shower took a bit of fiddling but could have been lack of reading simple instructions!!  We had lovely tea and toast after the gig and in the morning!  Everything was there my pal is saying that she is totally converted to staying in hostels after it.  Loads parking right outside it was a bungalow type set up ideal.  Thanks Eddie

We were eon route to Donegal from the south. We stopped here for the night to break up the journey. It was perfect for what we needed. It is a great set up, super kitchen available for use. If you're travelling with young children it would be a super wee spot. You can cook.yijr own food, get a walk in and sample fresh air. Greet to see the organic, general waste and recycling bins. Lovely set up. 

Perfect for stop over 

If you have your own transport, this is a very nice place to stay, away from the noise/traffic from the city. Good facilities and good for families too. Very good value for money. Wifi works quite fine too!

Very good stay

We really enjoyed staying here at their B&B. We were greeted with great hospitality and genuine service. The couple running the place are warm and very caring.
The rooms are large and feel more like hotel rooms than B&B. The area offers very nice walking paths through some real Irish countryside. 

Great B&B!

We stayed in the Hostel which is actually an old farmhouse after a visit to knock. The room was spacious with a good sized en suite. There is a huge lounge, dining room and kitchen with plenty of facilities that your not in anybody's way and they also supply bread, milk,juice and cereal too. It is a 10 minute drive to the nearest town which has pubs, restaurants and shops so the location is good. Plenty of farm animals about too if your an animal lover. Overall it was a lot better than expected and i would stay here again if visiting the area.

Nice quiet location, Handy for visiting Knock

Stayed at the Valleylodge, over the weekend. As it was an unplanned visit, I was lucky to get accommodation near Balla. Mary and Eddie couldn’t have been kinder or more welcoming. 
Setting : Remote, quite, beautiful. 
In the middle of valley, with a menagerie of Animals around you, Horses, Donkey, Goats, Sheep, Chickens, Ducks and Geese but a few. 
Accommodation: Varied: Single, Double, Family and Hostel.
Comfortable, Immaculate , all mod cons even WiFi, though it’s the sort retreat where you may not miss the worldwide web.
Breakfast: Superb, all palates catered for, fresh fruits, cereals, full Irish etc. 
PS: Mary’s Homemade Soda a must. 
Hosts: Friendly, Smiling, Helpful. Even arranged transport for me from the airport and varied trips. 

In brief. Thank you very much and hope to revisit soon.
