We rented one of the cottages for a week. We choose the location because it is a great deal 4 bedroom cottage, near multiple destinations. Skellig, ring of Kerry and Dingle peninsula are all easy day trips. Very peaceful and relaxing. Never saw so many stars in the sky. Because the area is a little desolate I would recommend getting groceries on the way there.

Great base of operations

My family stayed here for a week over Thanksgiving. The cottages are wonderful
fully equipped plenty of space. You need a car as they are not in town. Third time I have rented here, always a great experience.

What a great find this "little" holiday cottage was.
Couldnt fault anything - location amazing with views to behold . the cottage had everything you could ask for

Only let down of our trip was the Fish & Chip 'carry out van' in Portamagee 

Never had such a poorer portion of fish and chips in my life - avoid at all costs  if you are hungry 



Easter Break

My family of four adults stayed here in for five days and used this as a "base of operations" while we explored the Kerry peninsula. It was extremely roomy and we were very comfortable! Our cottage had four rooms so we each had a private space to relax, and was equipped with a washer/dryer combo, oil heater, dishwasher and spa tub. We had a beautiful view from the yard; and it was an easy drive to town where you can pick up boat rides to the Skelligs, or a great meal at the local restaurants. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The owner was always available by email and phone to answer any of our questions during the stay.

A great base of operations for the Kerry area

We really enjoyed our stay at Portmagee Cottages. We stayed with our dog who just thought he was in heaven with the large garden and sea to play in! 
The cottage was clean and tidy and had all mod cons, dishwasher was a surprise bonus! Peat was provided, which we needed as it was cold on some of the evenings. On warmer evenings it was just lovely to be able to sit out and watch the sun set and the stars come out. Very peaceful.
Bed was comfy, rooms were bright and had great views.

Great holiday break

First of all the pics on the web don't do this house any justice, as the house was much bigger than I expected on arrival, to my joy. I have to say we had a fantastic stay in the house, 3 lovely sized bedrooms with lovely comfy beds and one on-suite. There is a big open fire which gave off great heat and the kitchen and dining room is huge, perfect to hang out in and cook and have fun with the family. The house is a two minute drive from the town which is great and a further ten minutes you can be a top of a stunning mountain with incredible views or on Valentia Island driving around this scenic wonder. My only gripe and its a tiny tiny one at that, is the lighting, I would suggest suspended lighting over the cooking area as its quite dark down that end of the room unless you put on all the lights, which you don't want to do, so a few lamps also at the end of the room, oh and one other small thing, there's a lovely comfy black leather sofa, which we all fought over, I would suggest another, very small details, but other than that the place is fab, from the provision of turf/ BBQ facilities to the cutlery and delphi, top marks, and the lady of the manor is a lovely person to deal with, would I go back ? In a heartbeat.......

The stone cottage

Stayed for a week in these cottages . Lovely cosy feel even though they are quite large and could fit up to 8 people . The view from the back of the cottage is amazing . Looking at the inlet of the Atlantic with valentia island in front of you . Kitchen is basic but we only really cooked breakfast there . It's a great base to visit the Skellig Islands and valentia . We also drove around the dingle peninsula . 
It's a fantastic base for exploring this very special part of Kerry . 
No wifi but I actually enjoyed the technological break !
