Margaret and her husband offer a warm welcome to their very comfortable and super clean B&B.  A good breakfast freshly cooked to order.  Spacious rooms and comfortable beds.  Good powerful showers.  Not the newest but it's super clean and in very good condition.  You can pop in and out all day but only breakfast is on offer.  Very quiet.  Parking.  WiFi.  Residents' lounge.  Great views at breakfast over the water.  It's a 15 minute walk into Baltimore down a reasonably busy road.  Or a short drive into Skibbereen.  A good base for a few days.

 A great base from which to explore Baltimore and the islands

Amazing visit at this bed and breakfast. The view is fantastic and it was a very comfortable stay. The bed and breakfast is in a very historical part of Ireland. I recommend the night kayaking nearby, but you can even just explore the local town!

Very nice bed and breakfast

We were touring Ireland for over a month, most of the time staying in b and b's. Channel View was one of the very best and we extended our stay there by a few days. Exceptionally clean, terrific breakfast. Very professionally operated and organized. The views from the breakfast room, guest area (for card playing for example) and our room were of the channel as advertised. Simply beautiful. There were no faults in this b and b. Highly recommended to anyone if there is availability. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking a garden to the channel.

Must stay for Baltimore

Good location in Baltimore. Comfortable room, nice breakfast and a friendly host.

Wi-Fi wasn’t working when we stayed so we had to pay cash. We had to get money from the ATM in the village shop and it was a total rip off. Don’t make the same mistake as us!

Comfortable stay

we were lucky enough to be the first ones there and got the room overlooking the channel - beautiful.  room was clean and cozy.  Margaret is a great host. Went downtown to the The Algiers Inn for dinner.  great food.

Our stay at Channel View B&B was lovely. 

Pros:
- The room was big and clean with comfortable beds 
- The breakfast was great. We had fruit and yoghurt to start. Followed by some smoked salmon with 2 x poached eggs and brown bread. There was plenty of options to choose from on the menu including French toast / full Irish / scrambled eggs etc. 
- Plenty of parking at the B&B 
Good location for a road trip exploring West Cork 

Cons:
- The B&B is located a little out from the main strip of restaurants (10-15 minute walk), which was ok for us but might be something worth considering if you don’t like walking. 
- Expensive at 180 euro per night for 3 people room 
- We were led to believe from the photos that the breakfast would be a buffet but this was not the case. The breakfast order was taken the evening before. We would have preferred to choose the morning of.

Ideal for a Short Stay

Had a great two nights stay at Channel View and would rate it as our best B&B
of our 7 days in Ireland. Margaret was so friendly and helpful, and the rooms we had were immaculate, with lovely views over the countryside. Breakfast was excellent too, with plenty of choice.

Would highly recommend this B&B, which I believe deserves a 5***** rating!

Best stay of our Irish trip

Clean, cosy rooms with freedom to come and go as you please. Really lovely breakfasts with plenty of options for different diets. We stayed for a wedding nearby and it worked out great for us. Check out beautiful Skibbereen on the way there / back.

Lovely breakfast!

We stayed here for three nights in August.  We booked the suite (room 8) for a bit more space.  Our host Margaret was lovely and breakfast was delicious.... we had the smoked salmon with scrambled egg and the fry-up.... both will set you up for the day.  There is water in the rooms which is handy.  The shower was great. The B&B itself is set in a lovely elevated location with fabulous views, well worth sitting out on the bench and enjoying it.  Everywhere was spotless.  Location was a few minutes walk to Caseys but a little more into the village.  The roads are country road, so be very careful if walking.  Baltimore is a lovely village to stay for a few nights.
