Really lovely house and Pauline very welcoming.  Room was superb, had best nights sleep than I’ve had in years, bed so comfy and warm room, would highly recommend and a lovely gesture from Pauline’s husband, my car was frosted over this morning and he kindly brought out warm water to defrost my car windows which he did not have to do but as I said much appreciated as it saved me waiting to defrost with car heaters

Killyliss country house

Just spent a weekend here as we were visiting family. Beautiful house and excellent service. Rooms were immaculate and so cosy.
Pauline is a wonderful hostess. Helpful and very friendly. Superb! Will be back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Weekend family break

My family and I recently stayed with Pauline at Killyliss House and it was absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived until we left. Pauline is an wonderful hostess with exceptional local knowledge and insight into places to see and visit that interested all of our family. Her home is beautiful and we were made to feel so welcome. She prepared the most wonderful breakfast for us each morning which kept us going right through to dinner!!! I cannot recommend a stay in Killyliss highly enough and I sincerely hope to get back that direction again.

Amazing stay

This saying is hanging on the door in the Killyliss Country House and is more than true. You feel welcome after first entering of the door till you leave the house. The rooms are wonderful and invite to stay longer and the breakfast is real Irish.

Come as a guest and go as a friend

Stayed overnight while visiting Cavan to do some family research in the area. We also had friends from Dublin joining us. From the moment we stepped in the door Pauline made us welcome and provided a much needed cuppa after our trek around the countryside in the rain. After a few hours rest we were ready for our evening meal and Pauline was able to recommend a local restaurant (Kieran’s) in Ballybay and even organised our taxi.
Our rooms were clean and comfortable with everything we needed and we slept well. Next morning we were provided with a good selection of cereals, yoghurt and fruit as well as a selection of hot food, freshly cooked. Pauline kindly put me in touch with another lady who lives locally, to assist me with my search for information on my ancestors and we were able to call with her before we left for home. We would hope to visit the area again and would certainly return to Killyliss Country House.

Delighted with our stay

I booked the apartment only to be told on arrival that Booking.com had double booked. We were offered rooms in the main house which were like staying in teenage girls bedrooms, none of the toiletries shown were in the rooms and there were used toiletries in bathroom. One bedroom had no en suite so we were advised to use bathroom on floor below (shared by other guests), again half used toiletries. Bed linen stored in the bath and covered over by another duvet..bizarre is all I can say. Far too many personal items in room and under the beds. we had kids with us and although there were toys in the shared ares, ours were told not to touch as they blong to the owners son, oh  and mediocre breakfast. It felt like staying at my Nan's house

Not my cup of tes=a

We had a truly amazing stay at Killyliss. Pauline could not have been anymore attentive. Our room was comfortable and spotless, beautiful decor and so relaxing. 
Definitely a hostess with the mostess, Pauline arranged everything from taxis to restaurant bookings, advising on the best places to go. 
This beautiful b&b sits in a stunning location and is perfect for couples of all ages and families. There is plenty to see and do in surrounding villages and beautiful walks. 
The breakfast is beautiful and definitely sets you up for the day. 
Really cannot recommend Killyliss enough! We look forward to staying again.

Stunning location, fantastic host

Just back from the nicest welcoming B&B in Ireland. Pauline Hagan will spoil you. Even leaves you and collects you from the local. Cannot praise the quality of accommodation and welcome we received. A must place to go when in Monaghan. We will see you soon.
