We are 4 sisters on overnight away ! The bedroom was clean & comfortable. The bar food wasn’t good we had to send back the chicken wings! We had drinks and at 11pm we were advised lounge was not serving anymore we would have to wait an hour until 12 midnight to order a drink with Night Porter! 
We had good red bottle of wine to bring to our bedroom & the bar manager refused to open for us and said go and buy an opened in Dunnes!! Very unhelpful no customer service & no management anywhere!! 
Parking available outside in public pay car park & you had to get up at 08.30am to pay metre!  Overall a very disappointing experience no care for the guest ! Won’t be there again

We organised a dinner for a large group (a Hen Party) in the Dine Ri. Noleen was very helpful and communication was clear and quick! We had a set menu which was great value and there was plenty of choice. Portion sizes were ample. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meal. Afterwards we had a reserved area in the Foundry nightclub, which is attached to the Dinn Ri. A great time was had by all in the group, especially the Bride! Great atmosphere and would highly recommend. 

Hen Party Package

First year of”no Santa”so as a Christmas present for our Son in law, daughter and two grand children we booked to go away for next Christmas. They were absolutely delighted. Booking was made through Booking.com and confirmed for 24/27 of December 2023. I contacted the hotel after a couple of weeks to book in for our meals, only to be told there was no booking as they were closed for Christmas. I couldn’t believe it. Since then I’ve been  passed from  the hotel, who don’t want to know to Booking .com, back to the hotel who have accepted no responsibility for this mess. For me, the booking was made to the hotel through Booking.com, their agent.I was offered a self catering house as and alternative, by Booking.com but If I’d wanted to cook and clean over Christmas I’d stay at home. So disappointed and haven’t had the heart to tell the kids yet.
So disappointed.

Was to be our first Christmas in a hotel.

Really nice hotel, large rooms and nicer than expected for small hotel. 

Can be loud due to nightclub. 

Really Central location, Carlow seems to have good shopping. 

Guests need to pay for parking 0830-1830 (they don’t own car park but they will inform you).

We stopped off for dinner on our way home from the ploughing championships, I had a slowed cooked beef steak which was literally dumped on a mound of mash and covered in what was probably cress.  The vegetables were served in a side bowl, they were crudely chopped into massive chunks. The other person ordered garlic mushrooms, which were served with a few green leaves. Nothing was nicely presented. And the pot of tea was literally only coloured water. Altogether a miserable offering.  Won’t be back.

Dinner after ploughing championships.

Parking is a public pay and display car park behind the hotel.  It is free from 6pm - 8.30am.  There are no arrangements with the hotel and a ticket could not be bought the night before to cover some time after 8.30 the following day.   I ended up buying a ticket - which was not expensive - before breakfast at around 8.30 so I could relax.

The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, and the room was large, bright and clean as was the bathroom.   I had a decent view over the roofs of the houses of the town into the countryside beyond.

The double bed was comfy and the hotel nice and quiet.   I enjoyed a drink in the bar which was relaxed and welcoming.

My only issue was that the water from the shower came out either boiling hot or freezing cold and I ended up turning it off and on several times to catch it at just the right temperature for a few seconds each time.

Breakfast was in Brooks' an integral restaurant which also served a shopping arcade.  It was table service with an efficient, friendly waitress.  I had very good porridge and fry-up with good coffee.

Clean good sized room and bathroom.  Relaxing  bar downstairs.

Just back from a lovely weekend in Carlow. Hotel ideally located in the centre of everything. Fantastic location for stags /hens or if ya fancy a girls trip like we did. Wouldn't be ideal for couples or families as the noise from the nightclub on a sat is super loud, however the staff make sure your well informed of this when booking and checking in. We didn't mind as we were enjoying the music 🤣 food was lovely, really enjoyed lunch at Brooks cafe, the scones are to die for. I didn't quite wake up in time for brekkie but my companions said it was great. The only fault I can give, is that the rooms were really warm and even though we were supplied with a fan it didn't do much, the only other thing is the parking. It's a bit of a nightmare. It was really expensive to pay for parking on site. Would recommend parking at the new penny's, you still have to pay but not  as much. Other than that we had a great time and the staff were absolutely lovely, especially the lady who cleaned the rooms. We was so friendly and couldn't do enough to help us out 👏❤️

Couldn’t complain about the price and the room, although very warm, was a good size and very clean.
Good quality fittings in the bathroom but another crap tv system.  This seems to be common in most Irish hotels unfortunately, severe lack of channels available.
Lift is a bit scary but staff on reception weee very helpful, polite and friendly.

Very good value hotel

A simple hotel in the middle of an entertainment block in the centre of Carlow. Good local food available. Clean and somewhat quiet. Receptionist very friendly and helpful, just like the other employees.

It's a great hotel.

Very polite and welcoming staff all round.  B&B price amazing value, my room was spotless, great location in the heart of Carlow Town and really nice staff in Brooks for breakfast and a very tasty breakfast too - I shall return
