Fabulous stay with the most hospitable hosts. Couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast amazing, lovely fresh fruit every morning. Catered for my dietary requirements. Rooms lovely and cozy, clean, plenty of towels, needed an iron and one was provided. Close to Carlow Town Centre.  Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Home from home

What an experience. We were greeted at the front door by the most friendly and warmest hosts, Noelene & Patrick. We immediately felt at home. The rooms were extremely clean and well maintained and equipped. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and well presented. Anything we want for breakfast was served without hesitation. The entire house is so enjoyable to reside in. 
We originally booked for one night but because of our delightful host, stayed three.

Had a wonderful stay here. A very warm welcome from the hosts. Comfortable bed and good night’s sleep. And a wonderful cooked breakfast - the best we had during our one week trip in Ireland.  I wholeheartedly recommend this B&B.


Set in a delightful part of a delightful country Green Lane House is the most welcoming and homely B&B you could ever imagine. Pat and Noelene are lovely hosts and everything is spotless. All the necessary mod cons are on hand and the rooms are very comfortable. The full Irish breakfasts are worth writing home about and the gardens add to the picturesque character of the establishment. Regular guests include some contractors and tradesmen who choose this lovely B&B when their work takes them too far to return home for the night. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and fairly quiet. You might arrive as a stranger but when you leave you will regard Noelene and Pat as being like family!

A truly delightful home away from home

Green Lane is a lovely B&B just a few minutes walk to Carlow City Centre.  Patrick and Noleen are gracious hosts who go out of their way to be helpful answering questions with such patience. You feel welcome from the minute you arrive, through departure. 

Mustn’t forget to mention that the breakfast served is cooked to order and delicious.  You won’t need to eat soon afterwards.

The house and grounds are beautifully kept with off street parking.

Top Notch B&B

If you want a place to stay with your children which is homely, friendly , where nothing is too much trouble and your hosts are reminiscent of family , then this is the accomodation for you.
A far cry from the sterile impersonal feel of some B&Bs and indeed hotels , Noeleen is an incredible hostess who always looks after us when we stay with her. We have stayed in the B&B multiple times. The large rooms are always warm and spotless and you have plenty of storage space, wifi ,TV, tea and coffee facilities , ensuite with shower and toiletries plus plenty of towels and a hairdryer. The rooms are large but with a cosiness to them . It is very much a home from home experience.

On our visit this time, we were again seeing family and as I suffer from a dreadful chronic pain illness I was very exhausted after the journey down. The following morning when I was sitting in the breakfast room for the banquet laid out for us (full Irish, fruit salad, home made breads, toast, cereals etc) Noeleen noticed my exhausted face and my eyes streaming from irritation due to a tough night's sleep (nothing to do with the b&b) I went back to the bedroom while my partner took our kids out for the morning to see relatives and next thing I knew , a knock on the door and Noreen arrived in with a little tray. A saucer with slices of cucumber and two cold teabags and an bottle of optrex eh bath to soothe my irritated tired eyes.. and a cup of tea and tray with the beautiful bread to go alongside. I was so touched by the gesture ! I fell asleep after and had a much needed recharge . In fact I slept the best I have in a longtime.
These are the little things that Noeleen will do to make you feel so comfortable in her home . She is just the loveliest lady you could meet . The couple run the b,&b like clockwork and we have been staying there a few years now everytime we visit our relatives in Carlow.
I can't recommend it highly enough and what's more if you are getting the bus from Dublin it stops right outside the B&B and the train is pretty much around the corner. It's about 10 minutes of  a walk into Carlow town so easily done , although we taxied due to one of our children being disabled but Noeleen did offer us a lift ..we were too late because it pulled right up at that moment. However she still managed to go out of her way again as she returned us to the train station by car the day we had to leave.

Once again a lovely stay and as always we will be back xx

Best Accomodation in Carlow by far

We stayed two nights during a trip around the south of Ireland. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and accommodation "top notch" in a lovely home. Our room was very clean and comfortable and a good size. Tea and coffee facilities and biscuits were provided. There was a TV and hair dryer in the room. There is ample parking on site.
Breakfast was included. It was a served breakfast with a wonderful fruit bowel, yoghurt,  juice, tea and coffee and a full Irish breakfast or any part of this that we wanted. Cereal was also available. Toast and wonderful Irish soda bread were also provided.
If we came back to the area we would love to stay here again.

Excellent

I stayed at Green Lane House and I have to say that I found it to be excellent all across the board. 
Rooms were spotlessly clean, bathroom was immaculate and the service provided was second to none.
A lovely couple who were excellent hosts and were kind enough to offer us a lift to the town center a few times. 
The breakfast was absolutely lovely and very well prepared.
I liked this place so much that I will visit again someday soon and it’s easily the loveliest B&B that I’ve ever stayed in. It’d be hard beat! 

Fabulous B&B, Lovely Folk, Excellent Stay

Stayed here for 1 night. I have to say this is such a warm, welcoming & comfortable place to stay. It’s less than 1 mile outside Carlow which is perfect.

The couple who run this B&B are so welcoming! The room itself was so bright, clean and comfortable. Coffee/tea available, spotless shower and free WiFi. Also, car parking is safe & secure.

For breakfast I ate a tasty fruit bowl along with a delicious fry. Toast was great and some brown bread again, so tasty. If I’m back in Carlow I will be staying here again. Strongly recommended.
