Stayed one night.  Ellen the owner was very friendly, breakfast was good, room was very small.  We had the same problem as others with hot and cold water.  The bathroom had what appeared to be used shampoo and soap bottles. 

Ok for an overnight stop. 

Stayed here with my mum in early June couple who run it are very nice but the whole place needs to be redecorated very run down, the bathroom could have been cleaner and hot water came out of the cold tap and vice versa, also shower was scalding hot, good walk from city centre but not too bad walking in as all downhill.  The room itself was clean but very basic, the breakfast was lovely though and freshly cooked.  We paid €130 for the room I think it was too much for what we got.

Had a conference to attend and couldn’t get a room anywhere but thankfully got a room in Oakland’s and it was perfect. Derry and Ellen were lovely hosts and v friendly.

The place is a little bit dated but that actually adds to it. It was spotlessy clean and the breakfast was lovely, didn’t scrimp on the toast or butter either which is always a good sign.

10 min walk to city centre. It’s right beside train station, I had my car and it was free on street parking from evening until 8:30am which suited me. Overall, great value.

stayed for two nights ,rooms ok ,but could be a little cleaner ,room facing the main road very noisy ,but a good excuse to sink a couple more Guinness to help with the sleep ,some people have complained about the floor slope ,but that just adds to the character ! ,rooms a little dated ,but ,for the money ,fine ,Ellen ,very friendly and accommodating ,couldn't do enough for us, breakfast very filling ,if limited in choice ,but ,I'd say ,they would try to cook you/provide you with , anything you asked for , breakfast would be better til 10.30 ,rather than 9.30 ,would stay again ,parking outside is limited to 2 hours with a disc ,for 2 euro ,but free overnight from 6.30 til 8.30am ,so ,we put a disc in the car the night before ,to cover us til 10.30 ,the next day ,

Stayed here for one night for a funeral. The rooms are clean and the owners are terribly nice and couldn't be more helpful. No tea and coffee facilities in the room but thats not a big thing as I'd say if you asked for one I'm sure they would accommodate you. Beware if your a light sleeper the train sta tion is right behind the hotel. Didn't bother me nor did it wake me..also there is no lift in case any one books the b&b cannot use stairs. Breakfast was lovely the following morning. I would recommend here for a short stay. Very reasonably priced also. 

Quaint B&B

Stayed for 3 nights over jazz weekend in a group of 4. Greeted by Ellen every morning with a fantastic real Irish breakfast and strong coffee. Rooms were very comfortable , beds were made up every day. Traffic noise outside was minimum. Warm shower. Hair dryer, towels,shower gel and shampoo provided. Great location as can be in and out of the city in 10/15 mins. Would definitely recommend !
