What was good

Beautiful property- really felt like you were in a castle! The staff was very friendly, and truly went of of their way to make the experience enjoyable. The on-site bar was quaint and had great service. It also was only a short ways from downtown Donegal- a very cute town! Loved the extra amenities of the swimming pool, and option for spa if we had wanted it.

What was bad

The restaurant on site required a reservation ahead of time which we did not know- they barely got us in, and then when we did go- they did not have enough waiters and our service was extremely slow- to the point we left prior to dessert. They hotel did make up for this before we left- but still would have been nicer if we had just had a good dinner experience.
