Went for carvery lunch today with my family at 2pm no Turkey, ham or lamb all that was on offer was overcooked beef instead of the ham on the menu two of the party were offered slices of ham hock from the ban marie - salmon and chicken in ban Marie looked dried out they were there that long. Only saving grace was veg. The bar and waiting staff were fab but as for food very very disappointing

Visited to stay in the hotel for bank holiday weekend with my friends. Got 18 holes in today then had the pleasure of selecting from their new menu and their great selection of wines. Excellent selection and the professionalism of Chloe ! Great dinning experience

Friends trip

Went there for breakfast arriving around 9:30.
Buffet breakfast. Good selection of fruit but that is where it ended. 
Cooked food was poor and seemed to be lying in the heaters for hours likewise the bread on offer was not fresh.
The cheese on offer was all foreign in the heart of Ireland's dairy industry.

I have stayed here several times and each time the staff are very polite, professional and helpful. Great food and location. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Good leisure facilities. Will be back again!

Great staff, location and facilities

One of the friendliness staff I have ever met. Hotel itshelf was lovely and clean. The food was fabulous. Had dinner and afternoon tea both lovely, as well as the cocktails. Will definitely be coming back.

For the past few years I have had a special Reunion Lunch with a group of my Friends who are all of a Senior age group. We are also former League of Ireland  Referees.
We choose Ballykisteen Hotel because of it super location which readily services main line Trains from Dublin and Cork.
Our group size is usually. about 14 people , we book a private room for our lunch and enjoy a fabulous day.
The management and staff look after our every need and assist with the Menu selection at booking time. The ambience and  Presentation  of the room is first class and the Quality of the food served is second to none.
  I would Highly recommend this hotel to anybody thinking about a good day out with friends.

An excellent day in Ballykisteen Hotel with friends

Recently stayed here with my husband and two kids, and I must say I couldn’t fault a single thing. Warm friendly and efficient check in, room was a decent size but the pool was a bit small. We had diner in the bar the first night good food and great service the staff were really friendly and interactive recommend us which cocktails to get that were included with our stay. Breakfast the next morning was also good, nice variety good service the manger came down and offered our two girls pancakes who were of course delighted. Overall wonderful stay we will be back next summer.

Family break

We stayed there on the evening of 12th August, we were at a wedding locally and arrived back to the hotel at 11pm, decided to get a nightcap in the bar.. the glass of white wine was warm, gin and tonic in a dirty glass, no lime/lemon, when this was requested it necessitated a trip to the kitchen to get a lemon and a knife.  The tables in the bar area were filthy.  We abandoned the drinks.  In our room we removed the throw from the end of the bed to find a clump of hair..🤮
In the morning the trays being used for breakfast were dirty, the cereal was all gone.. this was 10am, breakfast finished at 11.
The hot food was over cooked.  
The hotel itself is shabby at best.
And if you want a decent towel it costs €2 per night. 
The extractor fan in the en suite was broken.
Only 2 sachets of coffee in the room.

Not a good experience

NEVER AGAIN!!!! Worst experience we have ever had. Verbally abused by the man who owns the golf shop. He got very nasty with us calling us ‘f****** ejits’ and accused us of stealing golf balls even though we were throwing them down the green thinking we weren’t doing anything wrong. He followed me to reception where he carried on shouting at me, I asked him to get out of my face & the manager at reception told me we had to sort it between us. I thought because the golf resort & the hotel are 2 separate things the manager would have stuck up for his hotel guests. Don’t even get me started on the restaurant. Complete waste of money, tiny portions, cold food. It took 2.5 hours for us to get a main meal & desert because we were told that we were forgotten about. Wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Lovely couple of days playing golf here and at Tipperary Golf club. Nice hotel with large airy rooms. Nice pool and sauna/steam room. Jacuzzi was the same temperature as the pool (cold). Excellent food both at breakfast and in the sports bar. Definitely worth a second visit
