As per all the other reviews, stay well away from this place... I appreciate Dublin is a popular and expensive destination, but this place is an exception to the rule!

This is a halfway house, and 90% of the rooms are occupied by short term tenants waiting to be housed by the authorities..

Our room was broken into, whilst we were out in the evening and completely ransacked! Fortunately we were travelling light, and nothing of value was taken..

I sympathise for the staff who work there, as they were very helpful and understanding, my general feeling is they are underpaid, overworked and exploited like the rest of the guests!

I was witness to this as we were unfortunate enough, to be introduced to the owner so we could discuss the situation with the break in.

I have personally never met such an obnoxious pig, in my life! This guy even had the audacity to lay blame on us, accusing us of leaving our door open, when there was clear signs and marks on the door, where they had broken in, the sheer arrogance of this guy, was that he actually believed he was helping us out, by us staying there, at a cost of 65Eur. for the night!

Please don't ignore this review!

Avoid at all costs!

worst B&B I ever stayed in. Booked a double room,told on arrival there was a problem with the room. then given a twin room downstairs, with two really uncomfortable beds. one had dirty sheets. it seems more a half way house than a B&B

This place has to be the worst ever!!! 
My friend had booked this hotel for a girls weekend holiday in dublin, the pictures looked great and she booked in for 2 nights for 3 people. When we arrived we rang the bell and noone answered, so we knocked and carried on and persisted. My friend looked around back incase someone was out in the back yard, but there was none around but we could hear clutter of cutlery coming from one of the rooms. After about 40 or 45 minutes a young lady came to the door and we said we were there to book in, she then proceeded to tell us that none was around to check us in. We asked for a number but she didn't seem to have a clue who owned or managed the hotel. She then tried to call whoever it was and none actually showed up. A few people came and went and all seem to be taking what looked like a clothes horse and a few household items, this was a sure sign that it was some kind of halfway house or hostel for people awaiting to be re-housed, it was horrible. Needless to say the people that own this place actually tried to take the money from my friends account 2 months before we even got there, so be very careful of this place. 

Eventually another friend found another hotel and we were very relieved, my friend who booked the hotel left a nice note to the owner of deer park lodge, so if anyone is planning to stay here please be warned, theres no owner or manager on site and when you try and call you get no answer........we gave this place the benefit of the doubt after reading all the bad reviews but now after our experience with deer park we will never try there again. 

But we did find a nice little place and it had what we needed, and exploring dublin was the plus side of things! (that was after spending (30 euros to get from the airport to deep park then another 30 euro to get from deer park to the new hotel).

So anyone booking with this place, please be aware ya might not get in and would be left stranded in the middle of no where!

HALFWAY HOUSE NOT A B&B AT ALL...BEWARE!!!!

A TRULY TERRIBLE PLACE!!!  This is quite simply the worst place we have ever stayed ever in the whole world. It is a truly disgusting place. It is filthy. The TV was broken. The shower was broken. The electrical sockets were faulty, only one worked in the whole room. The beds had NO headboards. The floors were filthy, especially the en-suite floor.  The only thing that worked was the WC. Everything squeaked, doors, beds, wardrobe doors, taps, towel hooks. The doors did not close. They did not even fit into their openings. The place is a FIRE HAZARD! It would have been impossible to get out of the windows in the event of an emergency, the top hung lights being too small to climb through. The electric lighting was faulty, filthy and disgusting. There was a light over a filthy mirror above a tiny sink, operated by a broken pull switch, 20mm long which took some finding! The many spiders at work in building their webs was THE entertainment in the room, given nothing else worked!.  The windows were filthy. The cheap plastic uPVC frames did not open and close properly. The frames were caked in black mould in both the bedroom and tiny en-suite! There was no mechanical ventilation in the en-suite, which was so small that you had to open the door to turn around, not that it closed properly in the first place. The description offered Bed & Breakfast. THE BREAKFAST WAS NOT INCLUDED WHEN WE GOT THERE THE HOST DEMANDING MORE MONEY FOR FOOD!!!  There were no bedside tables. Other than beds and a 100 year old tatty wardrobe, the only other furniture was a metal trolley "THING", with kettle, tea, coffee and out-of-date milk pods, all at a 30 degree angle that was close to complete collapse. The room was far TOO SMALL for three adults, which is what we booked. WHY were there only TWO cups, TWO small towels and facilities for TWO people WHEN it had clearly been booked for THREE adults. When we approached the host, regarding these issues, he shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing else on offer, claiming the facility was full.  No alternative was offered. It was TOO late to book anything else, given the lateness of the hour. The broken TV's and showers were clearly well known to the host as he said that moving rooms was not an option, the facilities in the other rooms also being inoperable. We were the only guests, despite there being many other rooms and the only car in the Car Park, except for a rusty "Polish-registered" abandoned wreck with its cills hanging off!  We arrived at 9.30pm after hours of searching for the establishment, the hosts phone being "unavailable" when we rang for help in finding the place. We left at 6.00am, being resident for just 9 hours - the worst 9 hours of our lives! Faulty Towers is an absolute palace when compared to this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!     A TRULY TERRIBLE PLACE.
