This B&B was the worst B&B that I have ever experienced.  Besides the terrible smell that was everywhere in the home, there was no hot water for showers.  In spite of repeatedly asking the hostess about the hot water, she would not turn it on so all showers were very cold.  Breakfast was do it yourself, so not a B&B that you would anticipate in Ireland.  The hospitality was not at all representative of the Irish.

Terrible Experience, do not stay here.

It was our first visit after the pandemic has sort of disappeared. I must say that we have found a little gem. The staff were very friendly professional and overall top notch. The bungalow was very well maintained the gardens lovely and spacious parking. The rooms clean and very comfortable felt at home immediately.   The food was excellent plenty to eat nothing too much trouble for louise and her crew. To be fair we have booked to return next year already.  We highly recommend you give it a go and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.  Thanks again for making our stay an extremely enjoyable experience. 

You will not be disappointed 

Louise v helpful and kindly picked us up from town. Nice big room, good beds.   But, that front door - at 2.30 am someone returned and the banging door lock woke us up - the lock is not fit for the job .   Shower cold and antiquated. Louise indifferent about both issues , no apology. Breakfast v mediocre, cellophane pastries, not what is pictured.

Just sort the noisy front door and shower please.....

We stayed here for 4 nights in June.  The owners couldn't have been more friendly.  We had a large bedroom which was spotlessly clean and a well-cooked breakfast.  It was 10 minutes walk to the town one way and 10 minutes walk to the harbour the other, so in a very good location.  Also very close to Westport House with its beautiful grounds.  Westport is a busy lively town, and is an ideal centre for exploring the area.

An excellent place to stay

Comfortable room. Clean. Friendly hostess with lots of information on places to visit. Good breakfasts and a good selection. Well worth a visit. Town and Quay a short walk away lots of places to eat. Hostess willing to book table for us ahead.

Visit

I booked Broadlands B&B not knowing the Westport area to attend the O’Malley Clan Rally,  and my choice could not have been more perfect. Situated between downtown Westport and the Quay, we were minutes from everything. Louise greeted us and made us feel like we were part of her family, her personality is fantastic! The room was clean, comfortable and we did not want for anything. We enjoyed the  beautiful garden and appreciated the plants and flowers. Our fellow guests were lovely, bringing smiles to all.

Our full Irish breakfast was perfect each morning, ensuring we were well sated and ready for the day.the dining room is a good size and well appointed, so comfortable!

The living room was very inviting, you felt like it was your own oasis, and welcoming.

The B&B sits back from the road, very quiet and such a good price. We will definitely be returning to Broadlands B&B in future trips to Westport.

Lovely B&B

This is not a 5 star place in the sense of a luxury hotel. We were over last week to meet family and tour Mayo. I was looking for a place to stay that was local, reasonable and clean. I saw the recommendations on TA, and booked this place.

We were greeted by Louise, the manager and daughter of the owners. She was extremely hospitable, and went out of her way to help us and give recommendations.

The sitting area was quite nice, and breakfast was very good. 

You are walking distance to town, and the quay.

If I am back there, I will definitely stay here.

A lovely B&B

Booked this guest house for myself my partner and two female friends for a long weekend, was slightly worried as we are all party animals  when I saw the reviews about coming in late at night and if we were noisy it might upset the owners, no need, bridgette and Joe were great very easy going and we arrived in late every night without any bother, the breakfast was great, bridgette drove my friends into Westport the afternoon they arrived too, and Joe was a wealth of knowledge about the whole area, maybe slightly further from town than we hoped but all in all a excellent stay and would definitely return....
