Stayed there for a week in July 2021. It was truly homely, impeccable cleanliness. John was just such a cheerful and helpful host. The garden was spectacular. 
Im certainly staying there my next trip to Ireland! Best self catering rental I ever stayed at, the location is fantastic. Can’t wait to return!

Best stay in my entire trip in Ireland!

I've been to Westport many times, and one of the highlights of spending time there is always staying at Hazelbook. I very much look forward to the clean (and warm) rooms, the garden, and the craic with John. We do a good deal of walking and hiking and enjoy the location that has trails in one direction and an easy walk to our favorite pubs in the other. Really, the only downsides are that I feel that both my potato farl and garden are inferior to John's! We hope to stay again on our next visit!

Just Lovely

I stayed here for two nights in October 2019 as part of a bus tour.  The facility is immaculately clean.  My room had a modern bathroom, plenty of good quality towels, and a very comfortable bed.  The Innkeeper was cheerful and welcoming; and he treated us to his lovely singing voice each morning as he cooked up a delicious, full Irish breakfast.  The dining room was clean and comfortable.  Along with the full Irish, there was a good selection of fruit, muffins, juice, etc. There was a small (but comfortable) common area with tea, coffee and snacks.  The only negative was the WIFI connection.  While I had no difficulty connecting, the guests in other parts of the B&B had difficulty connecting and major problems with speed.  Additionally, if I were travelling alone I think I would have been a little uncomfortable walking after dark from the downtown area back to the B&B.  It's a lovely, quiet area, but a little too deserted and not well lit in some areas.  I'm a very cautious traveller so this is probably not an issue for most.

Immaculately Clean

We would recommend Hazelbrook B&B to anyone traveling in County Mayo. John was a superb host. He was very welcoming, made a great (and filling!) breakfast every morning, and was always on-hand to help with parking arrangements in the driveway - which was such a very nice touch. The B&B was very clean and tidy and situated right near town - it's just a short walk away from shops and restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful B&B in Westport

John was an amazing host and very thoughtful. Had a very pleasent stay here and would recommend for anyone seeking a true Irish stay. Bed and ensuit was clean. Tv in room and only a short walk into the town which has a street full of pubs and resturants (Matt Malloys!)

I would highly recommend Hazelbrook B&B to anyone travelling to Westport, Ireland. Nice accomodations, clean, in a quiet neighborhood, close to town, friendly & easily approachable inn keepers, beautifully landscaped, & access to a self-serve kitchenette where you can make an afternoon tea/coffee & enjoy a muffin or other small treat. It is evident that John & his wife are well experienced at creating a warm and welcoming B&B. It is always such a wonderful feeling to feel at home while away from home!  Thank you Hazelbrook!

Our tour group booked our accommodations at this lovely B&B and so happy that we were able to experience this lovely B&B for 2 nights during our trip to Ireland. John made us feel warm and welcomed from the start. He was exceptionally friendly, conversed with us as if we were old friends and went out of his way to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. Our room was on the main floor so quick access to make ourselves tea, hot chocolate etc. We could also keep items in the mini fridge provided. To our surprise, our room accommodations were 3 separate twin beds, but we made the most of it. Breakfast options were delicious with offers of seconds. The guesthouse is just a few minute walk from the town so you are not far from plentiful restaurants and any shopping you wish to do. Although we did not take advantage of this, there was a provided laundry drop off service for a nominal fee.

Beautiful and such a pleasure

John greeted us and welcomed us even though we were 2 hours early.  He showed us our room, tea and biscuits and went over things to do and see in Westport and the area.  Town is a short walk, so we left the car.  Breakfast was great and filling.  We wish we had more than one day booked!
