Cottage is amazing if don't want to cook.  When you holiday with dogs you are not able to eat out.  We tried on the final night to provide constructive comment to the owner.  However, she told us we were being "picky" as we had been staying at an amazing house.  So, since we have been accused of being "picky" here is what's need to improve: 
Provide an oven glove, tongs and frying pan which can be used
Ensure all pots are suitable for use - some had lids which didn't fit and were broken.  This was pointed out in guest book a number of years ago but not fixed.  Owner notes use other pots.
Ensure all light bulbs work - downlights and exterior outside light not working
Provide 6 wine glasses of same quality not a mix of size and shapes
Provide a bath plug which fits.  Two were provided.  Only one fitted and this was after pushing it down
Provide outside bins so food waste does not have to remain in utility room and dog waste can be disposed of safely
Provide hairdryer which has varying heat settings and doesn't need to be stopped by unplugging only
Finally, why does the internet fee need to be paid in cash and why this could not be included in the weekly rental costs.  I asked owner why this and utilities had to be paid on final night and was told it was because costs vary.  Whilst I understand this to be applicable for utilities it does not apply to the internet which is a "flat" fee.  Overall, this could be an amazing house but, in my opinion, requires some TCL.  I don't recommend. 

Review of Cottage - Not B and B - but same owner

There is not one bad thing to say about Farmstead B&B! Hostess Eileen is so cheery, accommodating & pleasant. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The view is just gorgeous and lovely to wake up to every day! Breakfast was delicious and made by host herself every morning. We loved it here & will definitely be back!

FAVORITE HOSTESS!!

The property is located in the countryside but Google Maps gets you right to the door with no problem.

Plenty of space to park.

A lovely welcome awaited us from Eileen and our rooms were ready as promised when we arrived at 1:30pm.

We had our 2 labradors with us, we’d checked in advance about them staying and as they are well behaved and house dogs they were allowed to stay with us. 

The rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. We had use of a lounge if we wanted but didn’t use this as we were out and about quite a lot.

Eileen, our host, was super friendly and gave us great advice on where we could go taking into account the kids and dogs, both for sightseeing, distance for driving and then also places to eat or stop off at, especially dog friendly places or those with outdoor seating.

Breakfast was great, lovely freshly made food, plenty of choices.

We’d highly recommend the Farmstead Lodge.

Eileen and John are super nice!!! Perfect spot to adventure the ring of kerry and Rosa beigh etc.

The rooms are pretty clean and the breakfast is simple but awesome!

Eileen was very warm and friendly to us.

She has a wide variety of breakfast items to choose from, and the room we stayed in was a bit small but still comfortable. 

The room came with a booklet full of the nearest attractions and restaurants, such as Kate Kearney's Cottage in the Gap of Dunloe, Killarney National Park, and Ross Castle along the scenic Ring of Kerry.

HIGHLY recommend whenever you are in County Kerry.

Wonderful Experience!

Could not be happier with my recent stay in farmstead lodge, host was extremely helpful and rooms were extremely spacious and clean, breakfast was amazing and just what we needed. Location was very central as we were close to all the local landmarks, could not be better value for money. We will definitely visit again!
