Bridge View B&B is located on the River Nore, a quick 2-minute walk across the bridge to downtown activity.  Eimer, the owner, is warm and welcoming, and prepares a proper full Irish breakfast with a host of accompaniments (yoghurt, pastries, cereal, breakfast bars, fruits and juices).  Our quaint room overlooked the river and was spacious for two carry-on bags and two backpacks.  The only ding to this review is that the shower partition was broken, however, Eimer had mentioned it upon check-in.  The B&B's location, delish breakfast, and reasonable rate makes it a good value in my book.

Nice location and reasonably priced!

Lovely b and b. Got there early and asked if we could leave our bags. Aoine ( sorry if mispelt) was really helpful took our bags in and moved them to our room even though we said we would do it after exploring. The Irish breakfast she provided was excellent and the best we have had this holiday. B and B situated perfectly. Parking is available in the car park next door ir on the road. It cost just 5 euros.

Bridge View B&B. The location and facilities were awesome. The cooked breakfasts were awesome. Our host Eimer was the most awesome! Lots of helpful travel tips and she even did a load of washing for us! Nothing was a problem. Eimer, we would love to stay again in the future if you’ll have us! Awesome B&B! Eimer is an amazing host.

We stayed in 3 Irish B&B's. In this one, we felt as if we were guests in a friend's home. The bedroom and its furnishings had that feel as did the breakfasts and the hostess' hospitality. Eimer was great and our stay was comfortable and clean. In addition, we had a comfortable room that overlooked the river.

There's a new pedestrian bridge just out the front door. It takes you to a new riverside footpath, a big box store with groceries and more, and to Kytelers Inn (Pub) where we went for dinner and music one night. The town center is just a few meters beyond. Just a few meters behind the B&B is a lovely art center with a delightful café. The village center, the castle, and many, many restaurants are maybe a 5 minute walk away.

We didn't travel by car so the location was perfect for walking to town or the train station. We were very happy with Kilkenny and the B&B.

Great Family Feeling

We stayed at this BB in Feb 22 for Valentine's Day. I had stayed here before with girlfriends in summer time and had a good experience. Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing.  I booked a double room as we are a couple. When my boyfriend and I arrived, we were asked if we were a couple (obvious we were!) and were then given an apology that the double room was gone. Instead we were given a room with three single beds. We said fine. We would make do. The room was FREEZING. When we came back from our night out we were so cold we dragged two single beds together. Not much use as they were diff heights. I had to get up in the middle of the night and put on socks and leggings and t shirt. I  was so cold. If you touched the sheet where the duvet didnt cover, it was like ice. The owners are obvously aware of this, and are trying to combat it, as the rads are left on till very late - but owners it is no good. You are wasting a fortune on fuel. The heat is just going through the roof. The room is still freezing. Worse, the bathroom didn't even have a radiator. So it was just use the loo and too cold to even think about a shower. The couple downstairs had a full volume conversation till about 5am. I had to go down and knock on their door and tell them we could hear every word. They stopped and then started back up again. I decided to tell the owner in the morning how bad the stay was but there was only a girl doing breakfasts so we left with no one to give feedback to. The owner was friendly enough when we arrived. But if guests are freezing , then it is all pointless. I would recommend this place for friends etc in the summer time, no problem, but unless there has been work done in the last year - avoid in the winter months. 

Freezing

Myself and elderly mother stayed 1 night. Lovely b&b, the offer of tea and biscuits brought to the room when we arrived was well received as we were frozen. We had a ground floor room with ensuite, a single and double bed, very comfy and perfect for my mum. Couldn't get a signal on the TV and Eimer sorted it out, while doing this she happened to mention that the kitchen in the bar/restaurant on the corner closed at 20:30. Just as well she did. Great breakfast the next morning, cooked to order.
We would stay here again.

Great location, lovely b&b

Cutest  little B&B along the bridge and across from Dunnes stores and all the entertaining part of the town. Easy access to go around Kilkenny and rooms are nice and clean. We stopped without a reservation and the owner (most charming lady) gave us a deal in a last minute. Parking is right along side B&B and it’s only €2.5 if you stay until 10 am next morning. The room is decorated with warm colors and tea pots and the breakfast is the true Irish bf.

Excelent Service and warm welcome

This B&B is on a side street in Kilkenny near the foot bridge. It gives you easy access to the town, but it’s also nice and quiet. The two sisters who run it are very kind and friendly and made us feel like family. The rooms were decorated in warm colors with quilts on the beds, sweet touches and white furniture.  I felt like I was in my bedroom at home.  The breakfast was plentiful and delicious; all cooked to order. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location, Friendly Owners and Delicious Breakfast

Made a booking over the phone with the owner 2 weeks prior to my arrival date. Secured the booking with my credit card details. Arrived at the B&B at 6pm (I was in Kilkenny for work purposes) to find that she had no room for me or any memory of the booking. She insinuated that I had made a mistake. She was not very forthcoming with helping me find another B&B. She accepted no responsibility and Just basically said hard luck sorry about that. Really bad form on her part. Beware if you book over the phone.

No room when I arrived. Beware!

Nice B&B only a few minutes by foot away from town centre. Room was clean and comfy. The host was very friendly and provided us with tips for Kilkenny. The breakfast was very good and tasty. We enjoyed our stay.
