The hotel cancelled our booking for a number of rooms for my brother's wedding as they said they were closing for the winter period. Turns out they did this so they could make over a million euro housing refugees which was obviously far more profitable for them as they wouldn't have to staff the hotel as much. They will do the sums come summer season and kick the refugees out then. Nothing to do with helping refugees. All to do with making the most amount of money.

Horrendous!  Group of 6 arrived in Ireland, due to tragedy, 1 had to return immediately to states.  Remainder of us emotionally drained, then get notice from Inn they canceled our 2 day reservation, stating they overbooked.  Booked in May, already charged my card.  We had problems finding accommodations, had to reschedule transportation company that had been booked, etc.  
Due to the kindness of others in Ireland we were able to salvage the remainder of our days there.  Shameful that this Inn was able to cancel us with such short notice.

Beware!!!  Canceled our booking while we were already in Ireland.

We made and paid for reservations 3 months in advance. With less than 48 hours’ notice Killarney Inn  sent an email canceling our paid reservation. There was a convention in the area, and there were no rooms anywhere. We had to waste a lot of our vacation time scrambling for accommodations. This also impacted our transportation and sightseeing plans, as we had a van and driver booked to take us to and from the three towns we were staying in. I found this to be extremely unprofessional and unethical. We told others about this in our travels, and they were shocked that this happened. If they did this to us, they could do it to you. There are many other nice places to stay. My advice after this stressful experience would be to book elsewhere.

Canceled Our Reservations With Less Than 48 Hours’ Notice

The hotel cancelled our reservation today, we were due to travel Friday until Monday. Lost money on trips, train tickets, claim they are over booked. Shocking customer service, worst thing is Booking already took the money and now I have to wait 7-11 working days for my refund. Rang the hotel today and a female advised that they informed the hotel a month ago, Booking advised they only informed them this morning. Booking have proof.

The hotel cancelled our room with no explanation (and no response to my email or from Bookings.com, who I also messaged), just 3 days before we were due to travel to Ireland on holiday. Terrible customer service!

Room cancelled 3 days before travel to Ireland

The hotel cancelled our booking at short notice. The hotel worker who rang stated there was a burst pipe in the hotel affecting all the rooms. However when a colleague of ours rang the following day looking to book for the night b4 we were to stay they were offered accommodation. On emailing the hotel for an explanation they then said it only affected some rooms. My belief is they overbooked and didn't have the decency to admit same or apologise or offer to source alternatives. Bitterly disappointed with the whole situation.

Terrible customer service

I stayed here as part of a family group and it was only a few minutes walk from the stadium at the Gleneagles.In the other direction we were only minutes walk from Killarney House and the town centre. Convenient parking outside the hotel. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Breakfast the next morning was fine, looked after by a lovely lady who was kept very busy but managed to keep us all fed and watered.
Perfectly serviceable clean hotel, not the height of luxury but we enjoyed it very much.

Booked a superior room with balcony put in a family room with bunkbeds, asked for room we booked told no possibility of moving new  system from today and refugees are moving in tonight.. fukc the customer that booked last week.

Hahaha what a joke

Our stay at Killarney Inn was punctuated by endearing hospitality, fulfilling and delightful breakfasts, comfortable suites and convenience of walking distance to downtown chauked full of dining options which was highlighted by Kitty O'She. Our host/owner
All in all, we found Killarney to be our favorite Irish city to date.  Striking natural beauty, wonderful food, engaging people and without the larger city inconveniences.

On arrival we were greeted by the nicest girl who loved are dog Zara. The room was extremely nice and warm. Even though it was 4 star for my partner and I, it was 7 star treatment for Zara due to the nicest staff I've ever come across. I would seriously recommend anyone with a dog to go there. We will definitely be back again!!
