The Purple Heather B&B is beautiful, we stayed here last weekend, the service is second to none, Tim and Nora are fantastic hosts, very helpful and kind. I would recommend it to anyone nice and quiet, beautiful rooms, great shower, and breakfast is wonderful, had a wonderful weekend here very relaxing I will go back no problem price great too could not fault any part of it, thank you Tim and Nora.

Five stars for location, service,and rooms.

I'm sure it's in a very good position, not being in the center allows you to save a little. The rooms are a little dated and the humidity makes you feel. The managers are very nice and in the morning they make a nice breakfast. Nearby you'll find a nice pub where you can go to dinner in the evening without having to go to the center.

Nice place, but not 100% convincing.

A great spot, close to Killarney (8.7 kms) and pubs.

Wonderful rooms, a nice Irish breakfast and a host whom will give you great ideas on what to see in the area.

There are three pubs close by and the notorious Kate Kearney's Cottage. 

Although the village and the cottage are well within walking distance, the roads are really narrow with little or no areas to get out of the way of traffic.

We had a warm welcome and a fantastic time in the Purple Heather B&B. Great breakfast, very kind and helpful hosts and a comfortable room and bed. We would come back any time!!! Thank you very much!!!

Great!!!

This was a last minute find the night before our stay. We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! Tim and Nora were extremely gracious hosts. The location was perfect, just a short drive out of the city in the country with a beautiful surrounding. The room was very comfortable, and breakfast was perfect! We had 2 perfect nights at the Purple Heather. Highly recommended!

Beautiful B&B

We spent 3 nights and used it as our hub to visit Killarney, Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Bureau. Location was ideal for that. Tim and Nora were great hosts and served yummy breakfast every morning. We didn't have water for one day but Tim made sure he checked in on us and offered several solutions. Wasn't a problem as it was resolved the next day. 
We stopped in Killarney (what a great town) each evening for Food & Drink as there was really nothing nice in the area. Rooms were perfect for us and clean

Great little find

Tim and Nora were great hosts to a great B&B. Rooms were clean and cosy. Towels are changed everyday which is always nice. We were also served a good english breakfast, where juice and cereal were included.

The only hiccup that we had was when we got locked out of the house after we went to a nearby pub (we only had room keys). We phoned Tim where he immediately left wherever he was and in 10min we were back in our cosy rooms. Later he gave us the keys to the house so that it would never happen again.

Wifi was slow and weak. Had to leave my room and stay in the living to enjoy some Youtube. Honestly, this didn't tarnish our stay.

The location is wonderful, if you're lucky enough to have clear skies the mountains in Dunloe can be clearly seen. Few minutes away by car from the Gap of Dunloe and around 10-15min from Killarney.

The visit was truly wonderful, would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a friendly and warm place to to enjoy Beaufort/Dunloe/Killarney and their surroundings .

Great B&B for nature lovers

Tim and Nora's reception is quite charming. The rooms are perfect: clean, well equipped, comfortable beds. Car parking.

Very good address

Tim and his wife are very friendly and you feel very comfortable around them. The breakfast was very tasty and prepared with a lot of love. The location is very good because you can get to the Gab of Dunloe right away. Of course the room is not comparable to a hotel, but for the BB category it is really very good.

Super friendly and brilliant location

The Purple Heather is a cottage at the foot of the mountains in Killarney Park a ten-minute drive from the city and lake. Careful in the details and immersed in tranquility. Ideal for those who want to go hiking.. a few minutes drive from the location of Gap of Dunloe from where you can rent a cab or take a trekking... very kind homeowners Mr Tim and Mrs Nora.. excellent breakfast that they prepare carefully and served in the romantic porch.
