First the good news, the room was spotless,  the bed really comfortable and the shower excellent. 

However, it was very disappointing to find that the bar and kitchen were closed.  We had hoped to eat there and have a few drinks after a long day. If its mentioned in the advertising that is only a part time operation I didn't see it

Ultimately disappointed 

Arrived about 16.30, bar door open but couldn't find any staff. Phoned the number on the booking form, a lady answered and said she would come over. She showed us the side door to the rooms have us the key and said the bar opens at 18.00. Room large, clean and comfortable with a sea view. Very limited choice of food for evening meal only two items on offer, food was ok but expensive for what we had. Unless you are up at closing time take ear plugs as noise from the bar can be heard in the bedrooms. Breakfast was served from 09.00 and was good, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juice, toast and jam plus a full Irish breakfast (egg, bacon, sausage etc)

A bit different

Room okay. But noise in the bar from 11pm onwards was disgraceful plus the smoking ban don't count for this establishment! Very friendly lady cooking breakfast but the atmosphere of the pub changes by the evening! Locals a bit hostile plus speeding traffic passing the pub at all hours.

The best food and drink with the most friendly staff who were genuinely happy to greet us and give us an amazing stay and also put us onto AtlasTravel.ie to show us hidden gems and great adventures in our time in Ireland 

Highlight of Ireland trip 

After touring around the Ring of Kerry, we decided to stay near the Tarbert ferry on our way north to Galway. The Hopper Inn was a delightful place to stay. It was a clean and comfortable room almost in the middle of nowhere. The room was spacious and meticulously clean with a large and modern bathroom. Breakfast was a filling Irish fry served by the friendly and charming owner. Glad we found the Hopper Inn.

A surprising find at the end of a dark road!

I would highly recommend this Inn it's the best we have ever stayed in rooms were spotless we stayed in a family room and it was more like an apartment kids had a room off ours. WiFi worked in the room and was very good. Breakfast was excellent perfect if your looking for quite place to stay with nice friendly staff and a bar downstairs and an excellent price. Will definitely stay here again.  

Best Inn

We stopped in randomly while traveling the wild Atlantic way for a bite to eat. To be fair the food was better than anything we had in a long long time. We got chatting to the friendly bar man John and decided to have a few drinks and stay the night. There was such a lovely warm atmosphere from the locals at the bar. We finished up at ten and went up to our room. Omg the room was outstanding so clean fresh and perfect. We had a great nights sleep as the room was so quiet and peaceful after enjoying a great night down at the bar. We woke up in the morning refreshed and had a great full Irish breakfast so good. Margaret had great knowledge of the local area and told us about the hidden gyms of north carry including one of the nicest stretches of beach I've seen in the world just 5mins away. We ended up staying here at the hopper inn another four days. Definitely was my most enjoyable stay on the wild Atlantic Way. Good place to bring your kids too. I'll give this place a 10 out of 10 and I've stayed in a lot of places
