This was a great find in Kinsale. Ideally situated close to the main streets of Kinsale and reasonably priced considering that accommodation in Kinsale is expensive. There is parking available in the public car park across the road for a small fee during the daytime. The rooms were very comfortable, well equipped and clean. Most of all, the owners-operators are very friendly and extremely helpful - they carried our bags upstairs and even helped me take our bags back over to the car in the public carpark when were leaving in heavy rain and strong wind. Thanks for making out two night stay in Kinsale very memorable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Long Quay House. The ambiance was very pleasant. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was amazing. Excellent location. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got to meet the owner and he was very welcoming.

Lovely Stay

Excellent!! Kinsale is one of our favorite Ireland destinations and our stay at the Long Quay House was amazing. The owner and staff welcomed us and made us feel right at home. COZY room on the second floor overlooking the bay. Clean and comfy. Breakfast was wonderful. Fresh made jam, good coffee, made to order and continental. Really a wonderful stay. Cozy

We have traveled Ireland extensively. This family hotel rates up there with our most enjoyable experiences. The owner-operators, Peter and Raszd, go out of their way to inform you of attractions, make dining suggestions and provide a first-class stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and well-supplied.  The location just might be the best for scenic location and proximity to the heart of the beautiful town of Kinsale. The breakfast in the dining room is delightful. We highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Kinsale Gem

This was without a doubt the most memorable stay in our 15 days in Ireland.
The warmth of Peter's welcome was exceptional and genuine.  His sole desire is to ensure that you have a wonderful and relaxing stay in this lovely town house on the quay.  He has extensive knowledge of the environs and can provide advice to meet your needs.
We luckily had the large room 7 on the top floor.  It has 3 windows looking over the harbour and a fourth looking towards the town.  With 2 leather chairs one could lose all sense of time enjoying the maritime views.
The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of dishes including a continental option.
The room was spotless, very comfortable, with a fabulous en suite.
We recommend this guest house…unreservedly!

Absolutely delightful in every respect!

Beautifully remodeled home right in the heart of town.  There's a public parking lot across the street, which may or may not be free (there's no charge on Sundays or overnight, but there is during the weekdays - we got lucky that the machine wasn't working when we arrived).  Everything in town is within walking distance, and there's some wonderful pubs and restaurants to choose from.  I think our favorite was Kitty O'Sheas.  The bed was comfortable, and there was an extra blanket and pillow in the wardrobe.  There was also a hair drier and a fan.  The bathroom had a large shower with plenty of hot water and a nice towel warmer.  The rooms have all been updated, however, the carpet has been laid over dips in the flooring, which could be a trip hazard for someone (there was a large dip right outside our bathroom).  We had a nice seating area with a desk & chair, plus 2 small club chairs and a small table.  At the end of the hall is an addition with recliners & couches, bookcases filled with books and a TV - it's a comfortable place to relax.  Breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious, with plenty to choose from.  The only downside, really, is the parking - if you drive anywhere, you'll probably lose your spot and it might take a bit to find another.

Great Location

Absolutely marvellous. The House is beautifully maintained and clean, better than anywhere we’ve experienced in Ireland. Our room was large, lovely with exquisite furniture. A separate couch, chair and seating area provided a relaxing space with a TV. No elevator, but the owner’s family will carry your luggage up the stairs. Breakfast is ample and made to order. There is a digital coffee machine that freshly brews coffee. The owners are wonderful people who care for their clients and enjoy a chat. We wish everywhere was as nice as Long Quay House.

The Highlight of Kinsale

This hotel lives up to its excellent reputation. It is quiet, comfortable, & nicely furnished, with a delicious breakfast in a pleasant room on the harbor. The hosts are attentive, and so helpful they called my husband's U.S. number immediately to report that I had left my velvet jacket hanging in the closet, so I had time to come from the airport and retrieve it, and still make my flight. The lack of a large lobby or cafe makes it Covid safe and quiet, but it does have a small common room, and good Wifi. You won't miss the absence of a restaurant -- the most excellent seafood chowder awaits you at nearby pubs and restaurants. I had a quiet garden room at the back, number 1, as the hotel was filled. If I went back I'd get a sea view room, though I really didn't miss it, because you walk out the door and you're right on the harbor.  The bus stop nearby takes you to Cork airport and city; while a smaller shuttle bus takes you to Clonakilty and a number of other interesting places.

The Long Quay House is in a great location.  Peter was a gracious host who answered all of our questions and did everything possible to make our stay in Kinsale a wonderful one.  The view from our room was awesome; we looked out over Kinsale harbor.  I highly recommend Long Quay House

Great Location.  Great Host

This was a great place to spend our final several days in Ireland.  We were traveling by train and bus.  Bus stop was across the street.  Location was adjacent to the center of town, making everything easily walkable.  Rooms were comfortable, airy, breakfast allowed for choices and was excellently prepared.  Peter and Rasa were wonderfully warm hosts.  The price was also better than what we encountered in Dublin and Galway.  If we're ever back in Kinsale, this would be our first choice for lodging.
