Recently stayed in a stunning 2 bed self catering apartment. We were blown away with how cosy and beautifully decorated it was. We had a fabulous friendly welcome from Mary who couldn’t do enough for us. The apartment has everything you could ever need. It’s about a 7 minute walk into the village. Has parking. Would thoroughly recommend here and will most definitely return again. 

Stunning accommodation

Gorgeous room with lots of space. Best breakfast we had on our road trip! Kind, accommodating owner - we got lost thanks to sat nav and she stayed to show us the place. We would have loved to stay longer.

Mary at Ballingsheen House is the perfect hostess.  She has an amazing house that is decorated beautifully.  She has many plants and flowers outside with a couple seating areas.  Her breakfast had a lot of choices and was excellent.  She is within walking distance of downtown which worked well for us.  I would highly recommend staying at the Ballingsheen House.

Great place to stay!

Wow, what a guesthouse. Mary went out of her way to get our room ready early for us as we had a long day travelling. The room was beautifully appointed with all necessary items and then a few added on for luxury. The room and en-suite were spotless and good quality materials used all round. The bed was super comfortable with crisp clean sheets. Breakfast the following morning was amazing, such a wide array of different foods that would compete with the best of hotels. The surrounding garden is wonderfully maintained and lovely to look out at during breakfast. The house is a 6 minute walk to Lisdoonvarna centre so no need for a car/taxi. Mary is a lovely host who gives you the information you need and then leaves you to it and is in now way overbearing at all… a true professional at her job. Highly recommend this location if staying in the area.

You’d be foolish not to stay here!

A beautiful home custom built for the purpose of hosting guests. Large rooms, high ceilings, beautiful modern bathrooms, excellent beds. My partner and I gave it a rousing first place of any of our many stays in travelling around the Emerald Isle. The breakfast was also by far the best as well. Home made compotes to flavour the top drawer muesli, granola or cooked to perfection oatmeal. Generous breakfasts of eggs or French toast with all of the traditional Irish breakfast variations. Home baking at its best. And all you need to know to understand how committed Mary is to her visitors having a first class experience: she makes her own marmalade for your toast. If you are visiting the Cliffs of Moher or Doolin or anywhere near - do yourself a favour.

It doesn’t get any better

Oh my goodness, what a delight to find the Ballinsheen House & Gardens after the day at Aran Islands and viewing the Cliffs of Mohr.  Mary was a first-rate and gracious hostess and the room was beautifully adorned. Our breakfast could not have been more sumptuous and satisfying and was nicely cooked to order. The house itself is wonderfully and tastefully decorated and although we did not get to spend time in the gardens, they reflected a serene setting as seen from our bedroom window. Ballinsheen represents a destination point for those on that side of Ireland.

Ballinsheen House tops our list of B&B’s anywhere

Stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was comfortable, spacious and airy. Breakfast was fantastic, great choice and excellent. quality. The amount of homemade breads, jams etc added to it. Mary was such a welcoming and helpful hostess. We plan to return!

Top notch in every regard

My friends and I stayed in Ballinsheen House and Gardens last night. The house is absolutely gorgeous, gardens so spectacular a haven to sit out in and watch the world go by. The room was so clean, comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep. Breakfast this morning was just gorgeous with great choice and so well presented. It was top class. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough and Mary was so welcoming and kind. Definitely be back.

Excellent stay Mary our host was helpful and  friendly, very good quality  home cooked food with great choice for breakfast. Great acknowledgement to local producers. Fantastic gardens. Beautiful paintings done also by Mary ,talented women. Would recommend and stay again. Easy 3 minute walk to local restaurents

Description and pictures reflect the actual situation of the B&B. In walking distance to the center of Lisdoonvarna with good restaurants/pubs. Nicely decorated room, spacious bathroom, excellent breakfast. The landlady was very helpful and friendly and took time to chat with us when she found us in the living room after our return from the restaurant.
