Great pub and Bnb, Géraldine very helpful and great staff,fresh cooked food, Curry dish and burger excellent.
Stayed for 3 nights, 
Near Achill island and beautiful beaches in Mulranny and Achill.
Will be back 👍

Gréât friendly spot,

Lovely venue. We were a group of 18 . Some going on the greenway to Achill others going from Bangor Erris back to Newport via Crooklettercuss ,Slieve Carr over Bengorm onto the Western Way.
The staff were excellent and could not do enough to enhance our enjoyment of Newport.  The rooms were clean, warm, airy. Food was good, recommend the leek soup, excellent. Geraldine does a gorgeous pint of smithwicks.  Locals in bar well informed and friendly. The morning waitress was fantastic to get the group of us breakfast as chef was working hard in kitchen, we had minibus hire booked to Bangor Erris. 
Upon returning dinner was ready, atmosphere in bar grand, homely relaxed vibe. Would definitely return and use as a base to explore Mayo and Newport itself. Much better than Westport. Town also has two of the best butchers, local produce with fantastic recipes. Came back with the best black pudding had ever. 
Good value, lovely staff, great stay. Hope to return.

Wicklow Arklow walking club.

Do not go here if you are an alcoholic or suffer from a terminal illness. Service us funeral pace. 

It gets 1 star from me only because it is the only bar in my 58 years where I was told they had no Guiness “gas issue” more like a management issue. 

So I ordered a Heineken, or so I thought. When I saw new customers being served I asked again. “ oh right yeah”

I did psychology over 40 years ago but I knew that the staff IQ was no where near room temperature!

When the Heineken arrived it had no gas! No Guiness because no gas but Heineken with no gas. 

I was beginning to have more respect for stuff growing in my greenhouse by the minute.

I spend a wonderful weekend in the hotel. Great variety of food with many options to chose, great people that treat you so kind, and the lend you the brand new bikes for to do the local trip in the green way. Is close to the beach mulrany. 

Inside the hotel the rooms are so confortable and clean. I recommend totally arrived here on your greenway trip.

The best place in the town !!

We stopped off for lunch today. Food was absolutely fabulous and our server was so friendly and helpful. We'll worth a visit. Wish we were staying in Newport so we could come back for pints tonight. Lovely friendly atmosphere ☺

Lunch stop

A local bar offering pub grub. Initial signs were not good as there was no one eating food. Very basic menu. See photo.

Young guy behind the bar was Brazillian and had  a very lose association with the English language and couldn’t pull a pint of Guiness. He had to call for reinforcements to pour, who I suspect was the lady owner and chef.

Food had a microwave feel to it and very poor. The type of bar that has 5 main courses all of which can be assembled from the fridge and microwaved at the drop of a hat.

I suspect the only reason they are doing food is because there is a b & b overhead and they have to have a kitchen. Not a good reason for pub grub.

Pity as Newport is a nice town and there is only one other bar offering food, Graine Quaille which was busy out with Q

Tiled floor and cold feeling to it. Very surprised at the TA rating.

Toilet Report:   Rust on the radiator and hand dryer a nice effect. 
Also, direct public view from the corridor to the urinal will please naturists and exhibitionists. See photos

Very basic food & 1 person show

Our stay at The Bridge Inn was exceptional from the minute we arrived Seamus was welcoming and friendly and was on hand to look after our every need, we were a hiking group of twenty people and on the way down Croke Patrick was a slower climb than we expected when we rang to say we would be late for our dinner booking he said no worries and he kept the kitchen open late for us everything top class.

Great stay with Seamus and staff

Booked a room here at Walsh’s. The service was excellent. The room was spacious and very clean. 
I explained to the lady in the bar that I had dietary requirements and she asked me what I would like to eat and the following morning every requirement I asked for was there for me. Excellent service. Not only had they every thing I asked for in the food required but I was also accommodated with breakfast an hour earlier than the set time for breakfast. Excellent staff and so pleasant. Ill definitely stay there again

Doing greenway walk

I booked this accommodation to stay the night after a day of cycling the Mayo Greenway.  I would recommend this accommodation as an ideal place to stay of you are cycling the Greenway.  The room was comfortable.  I had a filling meal that evening.  The following day I had a good breakfast.  I was offered a second pot of tea, which helped me stay hydrated for the cycle the following day.

Ideal accommodation for cycling the Mayo Greenway

Had a very pleasant stay here - clean, efficient, good value. Easy parking and handy to have all day good food and drink available downstairs. We rented bikes across the road to cycle the greenway - perfect location. If you want someplace with no fuss and good value then this will do fine. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.
