I loved my stay at Oranhill Lodge. I was made to feel very welcome the moment I arrived by Michael, Ann and their daughter Ciara. The whole place was very peaceful and at times full of wonderful laughter. My room was very clean and nice. The home cooked Irish breakfast was amazing and Ann's home cooked scones were the best. Oranhill Lodge is conveniently close to a nice lively village. And top it all the sun was shining during my stay.

I have just returned from an amazing stay at Oranmore Lodge B&B. A very warm welcome from Ann & Michael and absolutely nothing was too much trouble.  The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless, with small thoughtful details which added the personal and homely touch. The breakfasts are fabulous and I highly recommend Ann’s freshly baked scones and the Irish breakfast. I will definitely return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay to others, I can’t wait to go back again.

Beautiful property, amazing hosts!

We loved our stay at Oranhill Lodge!! Ann and Michael were such warm, welcoming and gracious hosts, their place was super comfortable and clean, location was great and breakfast was delicious - especially Ann's scones! We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to other travelers!

Warm welcoming and wonderful stay in Oranmoremore

Ann and Michael are incredible hosts. I got sick during the trip and they were both so kind and responsive. I had requested a thermometer because I had a fever. It was past 9pm when I made the request, but Ann came right over and provided it and also offered info for a local doctor and even offered to drive me the next day when I was still feeling poorly. The location and apartment were absolutely lovely - everything was spotless and well thought out - but Ann was truly a kind human being and went above and beyond to ensure both myself and my friend travelling with me were genuinely well cared for. It meant a lot considering.

Kind and thoughtful hosts

Oranhill lodge was my absolute favorite of all the 4 different (and all lovely) places we stayed while in Ireland and Northern Ireland.  The lodge itself is beautiful and peaceful, the bed comfortable, the food spendid (absolutely come to breakfast hungry), and Ann and Michael were the most incredible hosts in the world.  Important notes:  This lodge is about 30 minutes from Galway proper, but the 404 bus line runs to a stop a 5 minute walk from the lodge (super accessible if you've already purchased a LEAP card in Galway or Dubin) and takes you right into Galway, so transit was no problem whatsoever.  There's a large grocery store also about a five minute walk, if you want to lay in supplies for future trips.  My husband and I plan to return to Ireland in the future and we will 100% book here again.  My only regret was having to leave - I felt like I could have stayed and become lifelong friends with Ann, who by the way - knows everything about everything:  where to eat, what to do, how to get around, etc.  LOVELY people in a LOVELY lodge in a gorgeous part of Western Ireland.  Plenty of parking, and simply an oasis of peace in an otherwise overly hectic/scheduled (my fault) jaunt through the country.  Having traveled to well over 60 countries in my life, and seen the best and the worst of lodging, I can say with confidence "Stay here - you won't regret it."  Oh, and book direct for the best price.  Thank you Ann and Michael for everything.  We hope to see you again!

Beyond Perfect

If you’re looking for a place outside the city of Galway, but close drive to great locations to day trip, this is the perfect spot! We loved every minute of our stay! Michael and Ann are wonderful hosts and outstanding chef’s. The food for breakfast was amazing and the accommodations superb! Can’t wait to come back again.

Wonderful B&B in great location!

From the moment we arrived Ann made us feel welcome - she had us laughing and at ease. After a long overnight flight and our first introduction to Ireland, we knew we had made the right choice of accommodation and were so excited to be there.

Each morning breakfast was a delight: freshly baked homemade scones, soda bread, a generous variety of yogurt, jams, cereals, juices, fruit. All this was in addition to a made to order meal - with the selection ranging from French toast to a full Irish breakfast.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with en suite bathrooms. Ann and Michael were very gracious hosts - providing excellent tips on where to eat, get groceries and how to get to nearby Galway using public transit. It was an easy walk into Oranmore from the Lodge. There are good restaurants in Oranmore. The proximity to Galway and the motorway is excellent.

Ann and Michael were the model of Irish hospitality and charm. We loved our stay!

Our home away from home!

Ann and Michael are warm, hospitable, and very accommodating hosts. We were a party of six and our sentiments are unanimous; the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfasts are delicious. There are good restaurants in nearby Oranmore. The proximity to Gallway and the motorway is excellent. Oranhill Lodge Guest House is our first choice for accommodation in Oranmore. 

Oranhill Lodge: Like Staying with Family

Michael and Ann made us feel like we were at home.  They offered a wealth of valuable information to help us get around and choose restaurants and sites.  The room was super clean, the bed comfy and the room quiet.  It was wonderful to be able to park the car and walk to Oranhill village, where there were a vast choice of restaurants and pubs offering traditional Irish food as well as Italian, Asian, Indian, in short something for everyone. It’s also nice to be just a short drive away from old town Galway and one hour away from the Cliffs of Moher.  Finally, Ann makes the best porridge we’ve ever eaten (among many other choices for breakfast)!  We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
