Stunning views from the balcony. Welcoming staff who are happy to give local advice on places to visit, where to go and even routes to drive to get phenomenal views. 
Food was good, attention to detail and conversations were lovely.
Atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. Sat drinking around the bar in the evening having lovely conversations with the staff

Kylemore was THE BEST place we stayed at in all of Ireland.  Rose, Stuart and the whole team was exceptional.  The whole place is SPOTLESS! the shower in our room had the best pressure.   I have stayed her multiple times and I will continue to stay here.

The best Ireland experience of hospitality!!

So,got here Monday, lots of driving (thanks sat nav)easy check in and found our room to be excellent for us with 2 wee dogs! 
A decked area right outside and a short forest walk for the doggos to do their business (remember poop bags) superb views bring ur camera!!...
Back down for breakfast in the bar area (dogs welcome) restaurant no dogs!!..outside area also available. Then we headed off to explore...
Back for dinner (in bar) and Stuart (hope I've spelled correctly) got the thirsty doggos water... 
We had our dinner a few drinks,dogs just slept(absolutely wrecked)..then beddy bys!!...
Our room has sat tv.. en suite,tea and coffee and a lockable door.
Breakfast hot food is ordered the night before I believe but we just (like home) have cereal and toast.. also yoghurt, cheese,wheaten bread,selection of bread actually..Tip.. if you want more than 2 tea use the blue tea pot!!! And grab big mugs!!
Like I said out all day back for dinner,we're just so happy to be here!!.. not far from Killary Harbour where the superb mussels come from...

We had a room in the tell with a great view of the mountains. This is a fantastic place to stay and Stuart and his mother made us feel right at home. The decor and charm of the place can't be beat! The location is perfect for going to explore the surrounding countryside. The bed was very comfortable the bathroom clean and modern. The food and the restaurants actually really good, we ate dinner there several nights and found it really was the best choice in the area. And breakfast were large and had lots of choices and were delicious. This is a very special place and I highly recommend it.

A Wonderful Hotel!

We rarely post reviews, but Kylemore Pass hotel deserves every bit of praise we can give it.

Situated in the most gorgeous scenery, it felt like home from home. The lovely manager Stuart, owner Rose and their staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, striking the balance between relaxed and attentive perfectly.

If you like chain hotels, where everything is minimalist, standardised and impersonal, then this isn’t the place for you. But if you like places that are quirky, comfortable, friendly and perfectly in-keeping with their location, then Kylemore Pass is ideal.

Importantly, they also got the basics right. The room was spotlessly cleaned each day, with a beautiful balcony. The dinners were lovely and when I asked for a vegan option it was no trouble. The breakfasts were freshly cooked to order. The devil was in the detail… even the loo roll was a quality brand rather than the scratchy cheap stuff. 

Stuart was also engaging company and we spent two very pleasant evenings drinking Guinness and whiskey in the hotel bar with him and a couple of friendly local sheep farmers.

As a side note, they are also pet friendly and our Labrador was made to feel extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble - when she faceplanted into a good ol’ Irish bog, warm soapy water was quickly fetched for us!

If you want to sample real Connemara hospitality do yourself a favour and book into this hotel.

One of the most relaxed and welcoming hotel experiences we’ve ever had

This is a wonderful hotel, situated in a beautiful area with stunning views, enjoyed from our terrace. A very warm welcome when we arrived and excellent service throughout, we were well looked after. The room was very comfortable with a modern en-suite. A delicious breakfast with plenty of choice, cooked freshly. Also enjoyed the bar, handy for a drink before going out and then later. Highly recommended. 

Fantastic stay

We spent three great days in early September in this lovely little Hotel.  On arrival we were met by the Owner Steward who made us feel very welcome and he offered us nice coffee and biscuits. This place is just spotless and everything is so clean .  A great Breakfast is served and dinner is also very good. We look forward to returning for another relaxing holiday  

Most relaxing short break

Stuart is quite definitely a find here! Lots of local knowledge and a great host. Can’t do enough for you.  Hotel is quirky and we met a great bunch of people who were cycling 🚴‍♀️ the area.  Great drinks and laughs.  And the views! OMG. !
Can wait to go back .

Wonderful stay at Kylemore last weekend

Myself and my wife and adult daughter had a three night stay in the Kylemore Pass hotel staying in a very nice room with a double and two single beds with a wardrobe fitting that serves as a half-partition between the two parts of the room.  WIFI worked well (a premium for my daughter!). Because of COVID there was a restricted dinner menu of one meat and one fish dish each evening but the food was very good and nicely prepared and presented and some nice wines available. The breakfasts were very good indeed witn a good choice including the full Irish.  The hotel is in a fairly remote location about 10 minutes drive from Letterfrack village which is a nice little village with two or three decent restaurants and about 3 or 4 minutes further on there is a pier where you can get a very nice 1 hour boat train around the bay with beautiful views of the 12 Ben mountains as you come back in (see photo 1). Beautiful Kylemore Abbey is 5 minutes drive away and is well worth a visit (photos 2-4) and there is a stunning beach about 12 minutes drive away - Glassillaun beach (see last photo) where you can have a swim in the (cold) Atlantic and a decent walk along the beach.  The hotel is clean, the hosts Stuart and Rose are friendly and very helpful, the hotel is very well decked out with curiosities and they are very well equipped for COVID. It is a lovely quiet place out in the wilds of Connemara and we will be going back again definitely.  It is over an hour’s drive from Galway city and you can drive to Clifden, which is a lovely town for a walk round and lunch, in about 30-40 minutes.  There is a lovely lake view from the front of the hotel though our family room (room 10) was at the side and harder to see the lake out the window.  The rooms to the front seem to have balconies.  Lovely break. 

Lovely break in a homely place 

Stayed for one night while on road trip of Wild Atlantic Way. We were greeted by Stewart who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It was a Monday night and we were the only guests so we had attentive service.  Our room was a twin with a view. It was the most expensive room rate we paid for our entire trip and the smallest room with a small bathroom but clearly the rate included a premium price for the view, which was beautiful. The hotel was very clean and we liked the character and ambience. Good on site car parking. We liked sitting by the fire in the evening and having a drink. We ate in the restaurant and had the Irish stew which was delicious and not over priced. 

We would recommend but cannot comment on service when busy
