I loved everything about my stay at the Rosleague Manor hotel. From the moment I arrived I knew I would love it, parked right outside the door and walked up to the crystal door knob, real or fake, who cares. From the small things to the big things the whole experience was soul fulfilling.
I booked a solo break to escape the madness and calm the mind, and that it did. There are no screens downstairs, so refreshing, the noise of life and people and nature are all around you. The staff are unobtrusive and so nice and helpful. The guest information booklet is so well thought out, even including the owners mobile number should Something go wrong in the night. This simple touch is so indicative of the place, thoughtful, personal touches.
The food is AMAZING. I didn’t even have cooked breakfast as the bread, homemade and homegrown selection on the breakfast table was so wholesome and fulfilling. Stewed rhubarb, I would never usually go for, was beautiful. Coffee served in a pot. Window seat with a garden view.
5 course dinner menu to choose from in the ornate dining room each evening.
Renvyle or Glasilaun beaches are close and during summer months there are food trucks down the road at the 12 pins car park. 
On the grounds of the hotel there are Walks to the shoreline or to see the pigs, which has made me question meat eating !! Walks through the forest.
The bed was so comfy. The sounds of the place so comforting and a true step back from life’s fast pace.
This is a true self care package if that is what you are looking for. It is rustic, flawed, fulfilling and soul soothing. I hope to come back again soon. I loved it.

Fabulous country house hotel, a touch of shabby chic only adds to the relaxing atmosphere.  Friendly and attentive staff, very large bedrooms with views, gardens to wander through, lounges to relax in.  Dinner was delicious and generous and served with attention to detail.

Exceptional Hotel in beautiful surroundings

Charming old-style country house- very nice room with an excellent bed. Some tweaks needed- hot water was not hot enough to enjoy the beautiful claw-foot bath, breakfast finishes a little early (10am). Lovely grounds and walks. Incredible setting. V nice staff. The dinners we had were truly excellent. Somebody in the kitchen really knows how to cook. A little upgrading and it would be 5stars.

Excellent food

We spent 4 nights here and were really able to decompress. It was delightful. Food was fabulous for breakfast and dinner. Walking paths were the best. Service was home-y and professional at the same time. They went far and above. We slept great and loved visiting the Connemara coast. We miss it and look forward to going back.

A delightful time and comfortable respite from the rest of the world

We spent two nights at Rosleague recently. What a wonderful Manor House/Hotel. Everything about is says relax and enjoy yourself including all the staff there. There are lots of places to relax in the house and the grounds are not to be missed - Tyson, the house Dog, will show you around. The food is absolutely excellent - 5 star for sure. The location is great too with lots to do in the surounding area. A visit to Connemara National Park is a must. We wil be back.

Memorable Experience

We were for a night with breakfast and dinner at the manor and had booked a room with sea view. The view was partly affected by trees and the room was all the way to the far right at the end of the manor above the kitchen, which complained to us all evening about the noise of clappering plates and announcements from the staff. The equipment was individually really very suitable and the room was light-filled and cozy, the bed was soft and clean. Tea and coffee on the room to prepare for yourself. The afternoon tea with even baked scones and frame was fine and the garden was heavenly. The food was seasonal and of good quality, the wines were a bit irregular and the overall dining room was very backwards. We can recommend the left-handed choice rather than the room you'd expect to stay in the house before the morning (maybe you'd be able to enjoy the evening more than you'd expect in the room before the flood).

Dinner weekend

Got a Blue Book voucher so we decided to use it for Dinner, B&B in Rosleague Manor. It really is a manor in every sense of the word. It is perched on a hill overlooking the sea and mountains. Unfortunately we were unlucky with the weather and though we had Room 8 which has the best view the entire landscape was shrouded in a thick mist for most of our stay. We arrived around 4pm and received a very warm welcome from Eileen. It is a small hotel with rooms and decor from the Victorian era. You are immediately transported back in time and leave the outside modern world behind. Our room was large and in two sections ...a sitting area with a comfortable couch and armchair (and modern flat screen t.v!) and a bedroom with a large comfortable bed dressed in good quality sheets and covers etc. The bathroom had a separate tub and shower. It was very spacious and tiled with style. The dining room had an array of dark mahogany tables and chairs and as it is situated at the front of the hotel we had a lovely view of the gardens and scenery (through the mist!) We had a 5 course meal served with with professionalism and friendliness in equal measure though service between courses was just a little rushed. We would have liked more time to linger between courses particularly as we were savouring the old world atmosphere of Rosleague. My husband chose rack of lamb and I chose duck. I think he got the better deal as the duck portion was quite small and a little disappointing. Otherwise our meal was very good and we were spoiled with petit fours with our coffee. Breakfast was very good and the menu and cooked to order breakfast had all you could ask for. The grounds of Rosleague are not to be missed. Tyson is the house labrador and he certainly knows how to greet guests in a friendly manner. We walked through the gardens down to the shore (and met Rosleague's pet pigs on the way) and in spite of the intermittent mist we enjoyed our walk there.Be careful... it can be quite slippy on the seaweed when the tide is out. There are also some short walks through the woods around Rosleague which are worth exploring. We also took a walk down a really quiet country lane adjacent to the hotel's entrance (on Clifden road direction)...good for post dinner digestion. 
Rosleague is in a league of its own. It's from a different era and provides guests with a relaxing stay away from the cares of the fast paced world.

A bit of luxury in old world style

I had been at a wedding here a number of years ago (which was brilliant fun!) so looked to see could we have dinner one evening, even though not staying in the hotel. Our pre dinner drinks were in the lovely relaxing bar and we were brought into dinner at our leisure, no rushing is along. The food was 5*, so tasty and plenty of it. No problem finding something to eat either as the menu had all sorts for everyone! Always go for the lamb though, its sublime. 

Service was excellent throughout and we were given one last smile of the evening when the bill came and it was very reasonable for the quality of meal we just had. Would recommend everyone visit Rosleague Manor, a really relaxed and delish experience. 

Delightful dinner for 2

We attended a beautiful wedding in Rosleague manor over the weekend. The ceremony in the conservatory was really intimate and personal. We were immediately offered prosecco and confetti after the ceremony and were ushered out to the gorgeous courtyard to throw confetti at the newlyweds. We were served tasty bites before the meal and staff topped up our drinks several times. The dining room was a perfect size for the wedding and the food was second to none with an amazing selection. I would definately reccommend this manor hotel for a small wedding. The fact that we were staying that night made it a lot easier.

Romantic Wedding Venue

I've stayed in the area often and always wondered about the lovely manor on the hill. I'm pleased to say that when I stayed for 4 days in September, it did not disappoint. It feels as though you are staying with friends or family, as you just wander around and chat with the staff or other guests and play with Tyson, the four legged greeter. I had a lovely front room that looked out over the grounds and towards Letterfrack pier. It was spacious, comfortable and the bathroom is also a very nice size. No complaints. Breakfast and dinner were superb, and I can't speak highly enough of Siobhan, Jamie and the two lovely French gentlemen working there, who were professional, friendly and always ready to ensure you are comfortable. I spent hours wandering the grounds with Tyson - many windy trails to the orchard, the beach and through the forest. Although I myself didn't spend time in the drawing room, twice I saw guests snoozing in their chairs by the fire -- that is how homey and comfortable you feel at Rosleague Manor. I don't believe I can ever stay anywhere else in Connemara again!
