We didn't expect a little like this, I really do. The pictures on the internet are very well-made pictures, but we didn't expect the reality to be exactly like the photos. The cottage is a beautiful structure, probably recently renovated with impeccable taste. Spacious, clean, comfortable, high bed and fantastic mattress. Modern bathroom, small but clean, with a new and comfortable shower.

Exceptional

Car broke down in the middle of nowhere. Had no option but to sleep in tent. Couldn’t get to accommodation but was charged regardless.
All the BnBs I have spoke to about this agreed it is poor form, and they don’t charge when this happens

Very Upset

We stayed at several places during our stop in Ireland and this one was disappointing. It was a B&B yet breakfast wasn't an option with the room we booked. The shower had no hot water and was small and poky for five people.  It was overpriced given the location and lack of inclusions.  Given it was just a bed for the night the above left us underwhelmed.

Underwhelmed

This b & b has the most beautiful views and is located just off the main routes. 

Sadly our room was not so great, there was no usable plug sockets, no facilities to make a drink and the ensuite was difficult to use as it was so tiny, with nowhere to put your toiletries etc.

The included continental style breakfast included some delicious muffins.

Where's the kettle

Very small family room and even smaller bathroom almost unfurnished (and we didn't ask for the spa with the sauna!) room at the rdc; so in the evening, if the host receives some people, we hear everything and it's hard to fall asleep (Ireland is tired!). the next day, workers who tap the hammer at 8 o'clock... not even a word of apology from the host... I won't go back there.

I confirm... as a last resort!

The B&B was set in a lovely country location with 360 degree views. Our Hosts were very pleasant and helpful as was the friendly dog. Our room was pleasant with a view over the garden. We were given good advice on where to eat.
Breakfast was a DIY affair which took us back a bit. The Breakfast listed in the info pack in the bedroom did not match what was on offer as far as we could see. We had to ask for fruit which in fairness did come.
I was also a bit taken back at being asked to pay almost as soon as we got there as the normal custom is to pay on departure.

Nice Area

Not easy to find location. Accommodation had been pre-booked and pre-paid for. On arrival apparent owner met us but not sure if we were expected or not. Asked to choose between upstairs and downstairs rooms. Chose downstairs twin for mobility reasons. Room had one double and three single beds, a small shower/room with fixed head shower (which as installed because guests, as we were told, were wont to play with and break. Despite having a voucher which said the room had been paid for we were asked to pay for the accommodation as per instructions from Expedia. The proprietress demanded we pay again or she would not be able to provide us with accommodation. Phone calls to our travel agent and to Expedia were not possible as it was out of office hours. We paid again.
Checking of the room for guests appeared to be minimal. There was dust and old sweets under the bed,toilet paper was not presented well, shower gel etc were thrown on the floor of the shower tray and the jar of Tesco budget range coffee had was basically empty with a minute layer of congealed coffee on the base...otherwise it was damp and unusable. The proprietress explained it was previous quests who did not ensure a dry spoon was used. Never-the less it should have bee checked as with other features of the room before new guests arrived.
The proprietress had a rude attitude when talking to guests and we understand that our travel agent and Fred Olsen Travel experienced the same situation when they spoke with her. Regrettably we can not recommend this venue to fellow travellers.

Concerns

The owners are nice, but they're very cleaning-minded. In our room the bathroom was six feet by six feet and it was dirty too. Wet linen, enough breakfast. Too isolated, we need the car.

Cleaning problem

Excellent welcome, very comfortable, very clean room with a beautiful view of the Shannon, quiet countryside, very good breakfast, recommended for those who love peace.

Nice, quiet place with a beautiful view

We booked at the Knights Heaven during our last trip to Ireland, given the convenience of the boarding facility in Tarbert. The owner turned out to be a very nice person, but the facility did not fully meet our needs, especially in terms of order and cleanliness of the environments, especially the common areas, such as the room where breakfast was served. In fact, more than a guest room looked like a warehouse: beer cans, bottles of beer, pictures waiting to be hung (or just finished?).
