We (me, my husband and son, and our parents) stayed at the Palacio for one night while touring Safed. As promised, the hotel was beautifully appointed with unique decor and stunning views. The host could not have been nicer and went out of his to way to make all of us (3 generations!) feel comfortable. I only wish we had been able to stay longer. Merci beaucoup, Palacio!

Sublime in Safed!

This boutique hotel is a feast for the eyes. It has “labour of love” written all over it. The furniture, light fixtures, decorative touches are just extraordinary. Our room and bathroom were huge, clean and richly decorated. 
Towelling dressing gowns and slippers were provided, as well as water, chocolates and wine … as well as a coffee machine. 
The owner, Jean Yves was kind, attentive and very fair when we discovered a mistake in the billing for our stay. It is not often that I have heard a hotel manager say, I just want you to be happy with your visit. 
Breakfast was tasty and tastily prepared and presented. 
A stay in this hotel will delight every sense.

Extraordinary boutique hotel

I booked this trip to Zefat last minute and had no idea where I was going.  I came across this most amazing hotel.  I walked in and the greeting from the owner was so welcoming that I felt I was coming as a guest to a friend's home.  The decor throughout the hotel was exquisite.  The bedroom was huge and also with beautiful paintings and furniture.  The bathroom en-suite was down a few stairs, very spacious, with a large bath/Jacuzzi and separate shower.
In short, this is a hotel with great taste.

We booked this hotel at the last minute and appreciate how fortunate we were. The inside of the hotel is beautifully decorated with art deco accessories.  It feels more like you are in a very comfortable home than a hotel.  The common rooms had plenty of eye candy and the rooms themselves felt more like bedrooms. They were clean, comfortable and had the modern conveniences we appreciate. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower perfect. Breakfast offered the same large variety of other Israeli hotels but without the buffet. Instead our table was set and breads, cheese, vegetables, yogurt , etc. were all at the table.  More important was the welcome we felt which radiated from the owner. We got lost trying to find the hotel so he guided us turn by turn ultimately coming into the street and finding us a place to park. He is friendly and informative but not intrusive. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Wow!!! What is amazing experience? Having travelled to hundreds of cities and stayed in thousands of hotels, I can confidently say that this hotel outranks any hotel I have ever stayed in. The outside doesn’t do it justice but from the moment you walk in the front door, you are struck by the creativity and absolute attention to detail exuded by the owner. It was a palace in the 12th century and has since been restored, but the magnificence remains. He has antiques going back hundreds of years (eg Louis XV) and the open and public areas are tastefully furnished with amazing designs and ambience. Each room is different. We had the pleasure of staying in the Honeymoon Room, which was spacious and elegant. Amenities were of the highest standard. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom huge!

My wife and I were Trekking the upper Galilee on a multi day trek, we wanted to stay at a nice place in Zefat. Booked on booking and this place is great. Old structure in a great location. The entire hotel is very special with antique furniture and art. Owner is very friendly and so is staff. Rooms are big !! We needed a taxi pickup from the trail, Calle drew hotel and they organized everything. We were directed to a great restaurant in Zefat and we needed to leave for our Trek very early. Owner waked up before 6:00 am and we were served a full great breakfast. Thanks for making our trip so great.

A gem in the Galilee

This is a gracious, tasteful, romantic and elegant boutique hotel situated in the heart of the artists' colony area of this historic city of Safed. The public areas are beautifully furnished with antiques and art objects and carefully placed overstuffed chairs and sofas for lounging. The rooms are large, comfortable and just as tastefully decorated with antiques and art. The owner is a gracious host taking great pains to make his guests feel welcome. Breakfast was also excellent.

It was a Lovely stay 

This is not a regular Hotel but rather a "Venitian type" Palatial house with living rooms and upstairs rooms where you feel perfectly at home. This is a wonderful perfectly restored gem furnished with a lot of refinement and taste.

We enjoyed relaxing in front of the large TV in the living room and have ourselves a drink at the bar after a long walk around the beautiful city of Safed. Complimentary coffee, fruits and cookies was also a very nice touch.
The small garden, the magnificent terrace overlooking panoramic view of the Galilee mountains and the old City of Safed was breath taking. Breakfast was exquisite and freshly prepared by the staff. Everyone's kindness and courtesy was definitely seducing and made our stay a delight.
