We were looking for a place in northern Israel to stay with our family for a couple of nights. The location is very good, in Kibbutz Hukok in the hills west of the Sea of Galilee. The "hotel" is basically a few rows of old kibbutz housing, converted into simple lodging. each room has three beds, a shower and a simple sink and minibar. There are no cooking facilities, except for a spot for a grill outside of every row of rooms. Because of the Corona limitations, the dining room was not operating. Since we knew this in advance, we came prepared. Our main problem was that the minibars in the rooms were too small. 
So generally speaking, simple rooms, no food, nice lawns,  good location. If this is what you signed up for, this is a great place.

Nice place to stay for a night or two,

The room for 4 people  has nothing but beds, no table, no chair, very old installations, air conditioning without filter, no hangers in the cupboard, everything is very poor. BUT THE WORST IS THAT THE  EMERGENCY PHONE YOU GET DOES NEVER ANSWER. Saturday morning, the toilets flush filled the whole bathroom with the whole content  coming out from the floor and the tub, and we were 4 people , 2 grandparents and 2 grandchildren with no toilets and a terrible smell. NOBODY ever answered to phone calls, whatsap, message, during the whole day. We took our luggage and went. This is unacceptable.

DON'T GO, IF ANYTHING HAPPENS, YOU WILL NEVER GET HELP. There is no staff.

We had a very nice weekend (Shabat). The corner is wonderful, lots of lawns, the food is good and abundant and the staff is smiling. The rooms are simple but clean and well maintained.

Very friendly establishment

The lodging is pretty average but fine. The place is very green and beautiful. As a dog lover I enjoyed the dogs walking across the green grass. The food was pretty tasty and very Israeli like. The lodging is also 6km from the sea of the galile. 

Average lodging, good food, very beautiful place

I only rated this place as "very good" so people do not expect luxury. For my expectations, the money to service ratio was totally fair. I cannot find fault in the generous and fresh breakfast. The country eggs are delicious, there are many kinds of fresh salads, different types of cheese, hot food, fresh fruits, cakes and more. Since it's an open buffet you can eat as much as you like. The room is simple, but it has air-conditioning, a kitchenette, a small shower room. The towels were renewed on both days. The Kibbutz is surrounded by beautiful mountains. Very close to all the holy places around the Sea of Galilee. The reception staff were very friendly. Yana who also speaks Russian was an exceptional host and my Russian speaking friend was very happy to receive lots of helpful information and recommendations in Russian. This is where I will stay again when I go for a short break in the Galilee.

All the family woke up with flee bites .
Horrible food, not clean and very poor installation.
I recommend you all to not go
If you wants to have a good time in the north of Israel don't go to this place


Don't Go!!!!

A historic kibbutz, very nice to meet a very particular way of life, especially in the historical years since nowadays it is no longer lived as it was in the beginning.

Hermoso kibutz is the name of the kibbutz.

Beautiful location just north of the Sea of Galilee. The rooms are all ground level small houses spread over a wide are of parkland.The standards are all basic but everything works and very clean and tidy. Staff are helpful. Food is tasty but not gormet. Wide selection of salads. There is a guided walking tour of the kibbutz and immediate environs on saturday afternoon. You must have a car both for access and touring the area. Plenty of free parking.

Good Value for Money

Great place for families, good location, by the Kinneret, wonderful food. Excellent place for kids, 5 min drive to Amud Kirk, very recommended, you can do
BBQ in a special place or go have dinner at the dining room. The staff are very welcoming and willing to help with everything.


Hakuk Balev what a wonderful place!

We stayed in a bungalow, the room was a few meters from the busy road at night, we spent two nights there almost white! The bed, the room were very convenient.
