Friendly staff, clean and specious rooms, full equiped kitchen, excellent location close to Basilic! We enjoyed our stay, we came for third time. Very helpful people, we felt here as at home. Highly recommended!!!

Miss

We stayed in Simsim for a couple of days and we can only recommend. It’s very well located in the heart of the zoco, it has a very bohemian and cozy cafe attached and there’s a lot of culture and good vibes around. The common areas are very comfortable and well equipped, the rooms are nice and all the staff is great, but Sami, the one in charge, just stands out!!! We really felt very much at home there.

Gorgeous hostel with a wonderful cafe/shop run by the owners below (Liwan Cultural Centre) 
The room itself was a basic hostel room with bunks, and bedding we were given was clean and comfortable. Only issues were the noise from the street, but once we got used to it, it didn't bother us. Also with the bathroom being unclean, but I think our stay coincided with a new member of staff arriving and them trying to get to grips with things.

Beautiful, Old City base

I stayed a total of 7 nights at Simsim Hostel over two separate visits to Nazareth in the last couple of weeks, using it as a base to hike and tour in the area, and I loved it.

It’s located in the heart of the Old City on the doorstep of the Market in a lovely old building.  It has a fully equipped kitchen (cooker, toaster, kettle, fridges, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, free tea, coffee, oil and spices); a separate area to wash & dry clothes by hand; separate toilets, showers & wash basins; a lovely area with large dining table and comfortable couches to sit & relax; and mixed and single-sex dorms.

The hostel also has an interesting collection of books explaining the history and culture of the area and a cafe/bookshop/gift shop right next door, displaying some great artwork and playing a relaxing and eclectic mix of music, including traditional and jazz.

Silke & Sami (owners) are very kind, easy-going, helpful and respectful and the hostel has the double advantage of being spotlessly clean, but also having all the character of a genuine Old Quarter building (eg: stone floors and stained-glass windows).  Crisply-laundered bed linen is provided for each guest.

If you’re looking to do some tours Silke & Sami can help you to arrange these or, if you prefer to make your own plans, they respect this also and give you space to do so, providing information when asked.

Enjoyed my stay here very much.

A home from home...

Compleatly fantastic. The staff was very helpful. They even went as far as booking us bus tickets to get to Amman. The rooms were very clean. It was at the perfect location in a amazing city. Certainly plan to go back.
