What was good

This very modern BnB is comprised of several rooms with a common room/kitchen, in a large, old-school, upscale building only steps off Viale de Vittoria (Agrigento’s elegant 5th Avenue promenade that looks out over the valley and the Mediterranean Sea beyond). It’s location is couldn’t have been better for my purposes. I hiked down to the Valley 4 or 5 times and the stairs that provide shortcuts are right across the VdeVittorio. It is also a short stroll to town’s main square where buses come and go and restaurants abound. The hotel was spotless and the wifi reliable and fast. Bathroom beautifully designed and spotless.

What was bad

For me, I should have asked for a room with a balcony since I spent chunks of time in my room completing drawings or paintings from my days in the Valley. Ceilings are marvelously high and rooms airy, but I would have been happier being able to have private outdoor space. Also I couldn’t get the tv on, just to catch some news, but I didn’t ask Ottavio, the host, for help, so my bad. Also, I have no Italian language skills, and there is a definite language barrier, though Ottavio is more than happy to try working it out with phone translations and such. He is helpful, so ask.
