I left Tarragona for Barcelona, (difficult navigating the Ferry Terminals), but caught the Ferry to Sardinia. Great place to ride around. Good roads, sleeping giants and good food and nice people.
Claudio serves good breakfasts and nice meals with his wines. Very nice guy, (I hope you enjoyed the bottle of Rattler Claudio). Italian guys on Ducati's staying too. Didn't see any Brit bikes for weeks. No idea WiFi.

Motorbike Tour May/June 2019 Great Agriturismo

We had a lovely evening meal on the veranda here. The set menu was great, and copious, and our expansive host is a very good cook. The homemade ravioli was particularly delicious as was the olive oil from their olive trees.

A delicious dinner and a delightful host.

We stayed for one night, the owners are hospitable and welcoming, Claudio is very knowledgeable in the Sardinian history and foods, which he prepares with love and accompanies with crispy pane Carasau, and the wonderful cold-pressed olive oil that they produce.
The location is about ten minutes from downtown Alghero, it's close to a main road but wonderfully tucked behind an olive orchard and is pleasant and quiet both day and night.
No TV but in-room minifridge.
I recommend this Agriturismo for all types of stays, from just an overnight stay, all the way to "home base" to go explore the many wonderful sites that surround the area.

Hospitable and quiet.

Fantastic week's holiday at Agriturismo Isidoro. The location is stunning; you're out in the countryside very near the sea, but also close enough to Alghero to visit easily. 

Claudio and his little dog Pongo made us feel very welcome and comfortable, and we quickly relaxed into a slower pace of life. The food was really good, particularly the pasta dishes. I've visited Italy quite a few times and the food is always good in Italy, but the food at Isidoro is really exceptional - highly recommended. Top quality local/home-made produce and a great cook making delicious traditional dishes - what more could you want!?!

The nearest beach (Le Bombarde) is a 10 minute walk through a beautiful pine forest. You can find a quiet spot to yourself at either end of the sandy beach, or in the middle there are two bars serving good food and really good wines where you can rent sunloungers and umbrellas quite cheap and hire sea kayaks/pedaloes etc. 

We decided to rent bikes at Raggi di Sardegna (a 15 min walk from Isidoro) and found that between our bikes and the beach bus we got around pretty easily. So if you enjoy cycling and want to ditch the car, it can be done! 

We cycled out to the nature reserves at Capo Caccia and Punta Giglio hoping to see some wildlife (donkeys, wild horses, deer etc) we spotted a baby wild boar and some falcons and a lot of beautiful scenery and little hidden bays. 

We also visited the Sella e Mosca vineyard and took the tour and tasted the wines. If you like wine this is a real highlight, definitely recommended. 

Having visited a few different areas in Italy I found the sardinians to be the friendliest, most chilled out, and welcoming. The coast around this area is also incredibly beautiful, with lots of opportunities for water sports, or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. We'll definitely be coming back and miss it already. We didn't want to leave.



Fantastic food, beautiful beaches, hospitable host

The restaurant has a fixed food and wine menu and both were delicious. The play area was perfect for our toddler between courses because dinner was a 3 hour affair. The price was very reasonable and the service was friendly.

Exciting and relaxed experience

I stayed 3 nights and had dinner there each night. The home cooked food with locally produced ingredients was delicious. I was very well looked after by the attentive hosts. I strongly recommend Agriturismo Isidoro.
