Beautiful apartment near the historic centre of Alghero. Mario is a very kind manager who gives plenty of information about the apartment and surroundings.
The breakfast had everything we needed and more: bread, yoghurt, fruit, brioches, coffee, juices, ...
This was probably the cleanest B&B we’ve ever been. 
Also parking was not a big probleem, even in summer. In 4 days we had to pay only once (just €5) and found always a parkingspot in the neighbourhood.

Fantastic B&B

We spent two nights in this little bed & breakfast close to Alghero's old town. The room was big & airy and included a seating area, a dining table & a little kitchenette. There was also a very nice en suite bathroom. The owner was very welcoming. In fact he was almost a little too enthusiastic, keenly telling us about all the facilities at great length when all we wanted was to jump in the shower after a long hot day. Breakfast is a bit unusual as it is 'self service' from a well stocked fridge & cupboard in the room. But it kind of worked!

Decent enough B&B, handy for old town

We just came back from our vacation in Alghero and from this very lovely accomodation. We recommend this accomodation to all of you who want to just relax and enjoy your stay. Host Mario was very nice and very helpful. He welcomed us first day and showed us everything in the room and told us all the informations that we need for our staying. Room was big enough for two people and clean. The fridge is full of everything (butter,cheese,proscuto,milk,water,ice tea,bottle of wine, fruits...) so you dont need to buy anything for the breakfast or for small snack on the beach.They were cleaing every 3 days and putting some new stuff into the fridge.

We loved our vacation and totaly recomend this accomodation to all of you. We were really satisfied.

Great choice of accomodation

We agree completely with other reviewers who say that Mario the owner is terrific. He is very welcoming and gives you a first class intro about where to eat, shop, hire bikes etc. The Abba de Mar is very well located for the old town, the harbour and restaurants. We stayed for four nights and our towels, linen and fridge were refreshed half way through. This b&b is spotless and excellent value for money. You might want to get in a few extra things for breakfast but the supplies in the room are pretty good really. We would definitely come here again.

Great location, spotless

Let's say your aunt has a house in a summer resort, she will be away for a week in July and she invites you to do some house sitting. When you will arrive you will probably find the house full with everything you need: food, snacks, fruits, juices, milk, wine etc. 

If it is your first time there, she will tell you a little bit about the property, how everything works and before she leaves will give you some advice on what to do in the city.

This feeling is exactly what you will get if you book in Abba de Mar BnB. You will find a fridge and cabinets full with bread, cheese, butter, prosciutto, milk, juices, fruits, croissants… So you won’t need to wake up early in the morning and walk to the breakfast room. You just open the fridge and have breakfast at bed, then you make a sandwich to eat in the beach and at night you have a glass of wine before going out.

Mario, the owner, will give you a full virtual tour of Alghero and the nearby beaches and will help you pick the best local restaurants, before handing you the keys, creating an atmosphere which instantly makes you feel like home.

Abba de mar is located in Via Lo Frasso, a quiet street just a 5-minute walk from the old town, with a lot of free parking spots around (which generally is a problem in Alghero) and is a very good solution especially if you have a family.

PS I am sure that some will find Mario’s style and approach ‘’too friendly’’ but I am also very sure that he is just too eager to help you and ensure that you will have everything you need.
