We were charmed off our feet! The owners were like family to us. The grow most of the food right there on the property and prepare it themselves. We hosted a family dinner party there to include relatives from Alia and it went on late into the night. We HIGHLY recommend staying here if you are in Alia!

Fabulous!

It's hard to imagine a more idealistic location than VIlla della Mimosa. It sits atop the mountains of the charming town of Alia, with breath taking views of the valley below and the city. The owner and his wife are wonderful people that grow their own produce on site, make olive oil, and even wine. They have a full restaurant on site and offer an incredible breakfast, which you can enjoy on the patio and take in the views while you do.

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The ensuite bathroom is also large, and even though they lack any air conditioning or fan, the rooms are a wonderfully restful place to stay. My room offered French doors and shutters that opened out to the patio and the views, and I had the option to lock the shutters while leaving the doors open all night which allowed for a gentle breeze.

The owners kindly offered me directions into town and even allowed me to discuss with them my family connections to the town and my reasons for the visit. This venue is perfect for individuals, couples, families, or large groups, and Alia is a charming town that is a joy to explore. I strongly recommend this location to anyone that may be visiting Alia in the future. You will not be dissappointed and I hope to return in the near future.

A beautiful villa in a quiet part of Sicily

My wife and I went in to Alia in March of 2017. Lena and Carlos were just absolutely the greatest host. The warmth and generosity they showed us was superb. Their home cooked meals from the restaurant kitchen located on the premises were fabulous every day. Carlos showed us around town since this is where my great, great great and great great great grandfathers were from. This was our first time to Alia and was going again in 2020 but had to cancel due to trace restrictions on Covid. We will be going back probably next year. I urge anyone that plans on being in the area of Alia make plans to stay at Hotel Villa della Mimosa a few days. I promise you won't regret it.  Chris and Kathleen

A hidden Jewel in the hills of Alia, Sicily

This beautifully appointed countryside inn is a perfect place to enjoy comfortable rooms, excellent food and sweeping views.  There are both apartment-like rooms as well as bedrooms and sitting areas.  Lina and her husband were both friendly - even with little English they were able to talk and visit with us.  Dinner was exceptional - we had the pasta - and the breakfast was more than adequate.  Alia is a typical small village in the hills of Sicily.  Town residents were friendly and helpful as well.

Quiet in the Countryside

My third time there. I have never been disappointed. I would not even think of staying elsewhere. It starts with the owners, two of the nicest people you will ever meet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The views and the property itself are beautiful. And bring an appetite because the food, in one word....superb.

Excelent in every detail.

gorgeous agriturismo, lovely family run buisness with a stunning restaurant. They do everything to perfection. Both Don carlo and his wife went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. We had the most delicous and affordable meal. Breakfast was amazing.

Rooms are immaculately clean, attractive and comfortable.

Wonderful stay at a hidden gem in Alia

My husband and I had the most amazing and unforgettable time at Villa Della Mimosa. We only had only 2 days in Alia at the beginning of a 3 week first-timer, whirlwind Mediterranean tour, but if we would have known the hospitality we would receive at Villa della Mimosa and the town of Alia we would have stayed much longer! The room was large, very clean, and very comfortable. The grounds and view of the village is spectacular! Our hosts Don Carlo and Lena were simply amazing - as was their food and homemade wine! My husband's great grandparents were born in Alia and Don Carlo introduced us to distant cousins and new friends. We can't wait to go back to Alia and the villa-a home away from home!

An Unforgettable Experience!

We just spent 4 nights in May at the Villa Della Mimosa.  The rooms were large even by American standards.  We had a queen-sized bed, a small sitting area, and a small dining table in our room.  The chef and owner, Don Carlo, prepared fresh vegetables from his garden with our dinner each night. The breakfast consisted of fresh breads, yogurt, hams, cheeses, great coffee, fresh juices, and tea.  His wife, Lena, made sure we had everything we needed in our room.
The B&B was a little less than a mile from Alia which we could see in the distance.  We walked it several times while we were there.
