We visited this small town from San Sebastián as a side trip. There are plenty of great cafes and restaurants, lovely old buildings to see, wonderful views out to the surrounding mountains, and walk around the city walls. Wait for the mechanical figures to pop out of the clock at 1pm.

Lovely place to visit

Was here two years go and by the look of it Umberto and Chiro has done a lot of improvement. Loved the place and the guys, away from the "crowd", there is s bus to take one to city centre. Beautifully served breakfasts, the view from the hotel is marvellous . Best place to "un-wind" . We will be back for sure!!! (can't select the year!)

Wow!!!

The view was simply breath-taking! We would usually have our breakfast on the terrace and then jump in the swimming pool. Umberto and his friends were extremely friendly and helpful! They drove us around everywhere! Thank you!

Outstanding service and wonderul view!

Sometimes, a place is so beautiful and the experience so divine, it becomes a permanent part of your soul.  La Guardia is such a place. 
By the end of our fourteen blissfully happy days at La Guardia, our  hosts Umberto, Chiro, and Hamadi  had won that special place in our  hearts only reserved for family.
My wife and I are missing  Hamadi, Umberto and Chiro already.
 Our rooms were always fresh, crisp and clean, and  very well cared for, our bed was extremely comfortable. Our breakfasts superb.
Extra special touches like sweets left on our pillows, Linen sculptured into a loving swans when we arrived, and a scattering of petals, were a delight.
Hamidi was always friendly and attentive and managed to meet our every expectation. 
Privacy was  held in high esteem and never trespassed, and we are both very, very, grateful to each and everyone of them  for making our stay at La Gaurdia such a very special experience.
I say this to all - if you stay and bask in the gardens of  La Guardia, prepare to leave spellbound. Have your senses massaged into submission, leave time where it belongs in the world you left behind and sigh, for  on the doorstep of paradise a very different place awaits you ... one far from the madding crowd.

Best place I have stayed in ever!  La Gaurdia is   simply Bellisimo in every way possible

We had a lovely stay at B&B la Guardia, it is off the beaten track, far from the crowds of tourists visiting Capri for the day, with a lovely garden and amazing view. 
Umberto, Ciro and Hamdi were very helpful and welcoming. Umberto gave us very useful advice on where to go and what to do, which was very useful.
A path with steep steps starts close to the B&B and takes you to the "sentiero dei fortini", which goes from the Lighthouse to the Grotta Azzurra. Close to the lighthouse there is easy access to the sea for a swim, and a couple of bars and restaurants to have a drink and a bite to eat. The hike to the Grotta Azzurra along the "sentiero dei fortini" is stunning.
We loved our stay and will definitely return to B&B La Guardia if we go back to Capri.

A hidden gem in Capri

My teenage son and I stayed here for a week. The owners became as family to us! Umberto and his son, Hamdi, and Chiro were so attentive and friendly! They did everything to be helpful and make us feel at home! Our first morning Umberto gave us maps, explained exactly how to get get around, what to do and see. The place is quiet and peaceful , yet not hard to get to more busy beautiful center of Anacapri. 
Breakfast very good, clean room and grounds, the views amazing, clean pool, comfortable peaceful environment to relax in beauty and good base for exploring the island. 
I hope to visit beautiful Anacapri again, but only if I can stay here!
