This was our second visit to this beautiful property!!  We visited for 5 nights in May.  Cinzia is such a sweetheart and we couldn't wait to return to visit with her!!!!  We again stayed in the Piero della Francesca room and as usual, it was perfect!  Cinzia's breakfasts are fabulous and fresh!  She bakes something different every day.  The fresh jams from the fruit in her garden are delicious!  This year the weather was chilly and wet but Cinzia made us feel very cozy in her B&B.  Cinzia is always smiling and ready to accommodate her guests with suggestions for day trips, restaurants, directions, etc.  We highly recommend this B&B (although you will need a car to travel to and from this location).  We hope to return to Arezzo in the near future.  Grazie mille Cinzia, ci vediamo presto!!!

 What a great bed and breakfast . The place is wonderful in the old mill and our host Cinzia was very friendly and helpfull. She made a realy fantastic breakfast everything self made. Amazing .Thank you very much from family Al.

Fantastic place.

Take a reasonably nice accommodation in an out of the way corner of suburban Arezzo and add a superb hostess and you have something quite special.  Cinzia, the engine that makes Chiusa de Monachi go, truly cares about each and every guest.  Her breakfasts will spoil you and will outshine anything else you might get in Tuscany.  Ask her any question you like and she will strive to inform you in the greatest detail.

Two practical points to bear in mind:  you *must* have a car to stay here, and preferably a small car.  There are two branches to the street on which it is located... avoid the shorter branch with the lower numbered houses (1 through 12 I think) and drive along the longer branch to find this place.  The second point to bear in mind is that payment is in the form of cash only.

I do recommend Chiusa dei Monaci.

A great hostess makes all the difference

We stayed at this beautiful B&B in May for 5 nights.  We had such a wonderful time! Cinzia made us feel like family and is very concerned about her guests and always made sure we had enough to eat at breakfast.  Speaking of her breakfasts...WOW.....Cinzia served a fabulous breakfast every morning.  She baked luscious cakes, muffins, breads and many other delicious goodies.  She also made fresh jams with the fruit from her garden and fresh yogurt.  There was also a variety of meats and cheeses.  Our host Cinzia is so gracious and welcoming and always ready to help with daily excursions, directions and restaurant recommendations.  Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. You do need a car to get around from the B&B.  The town of Arezzo is about a 10 minute drive and you can spend a day taking in the sights.  We returned our car the day before we departed and Cinzia was kind enough to drive us to the train station the next morning.  Brava Cinzia!  Grazie mille!

Fantastico!

This beautiful B&B was a joy to stay in.  The room was immaculate.  The grounds pretty.  Communication was easy- I do not have a European cell but was able to communicate by email.  The thing that made this place so delightful was our host Cinzia.  Cinzia was warm and welcoming.  She grew up in the area and is very knowledgeable about Arezzo and the surrounding beautiful Tuscan countryside. Her breakfasts were amazing.   Cinzia is very proud of the regional products.  She shops and  bakes with care.  She gave us a tour of the immense breakfast spread in the morning- local meats and cheeses- cakes she bakes- homemade yogurt and lots of coffee.    ​She gave us advise on how to walk the city and where to park and eat.  Thanks Cinzia!!!

Joyful host

We were on our 2 weeks vacation trip visiting Toscana area in late October 2016. While visitng Arezzo we stayed two nights (10/26, 10/27) here. This B&B turned out to be the best among our five B&B say during this vacation. The thing that really made it so outstanding is the warmest welcome we received from our host Cinzia. Her hospitality made our stay enjoyable and valuable . 

Our room condition is excellent. Cinzia so nice offered us a room downstair room with private backyard without extra charge. Excellent house setting. It's so fun to listen to Cinzia's illustration of those belongings she inherited from her grandparents an parents.

The home-made gourmet food for breakfast was very delicious - even I am not meat-eater.

We also received a surprised gift-- a bottle of fine Chianti wine -- complimentary from Cinzia, after she heard that we did not get to taste Chianti wine while we passing there. It's so touching.

Comparing to other historical towns we visited in this trip, Arezzo attractions does not rank high but this particular B&B as well as our host are the best!
