Stayed a couple of nights on a weekend with friends.
Very nice location in the heart of Tuscany. 
The staff is very kind and helpful. 
Very nice layout with swimming-pool and pool-bar where you can relax with a drink. 
Excellent breakfast. 
Great value for money. 
Highly recommended.

Perfect location and layout

This very old estate has an atmosphere of times gone by. The buildings reveals the age - some are dilapidated, some restored with respect to the history and the architecture. We were welcomed very well by two young people - sorry, I forgot your names.  The rooms are scattered over several buildings. We stayed above the on site restaurant “Tonaia”. The room was spacious with a view over the surrounding fields. The Tonaia serves wonderful food with emphasis on local products from the estate - the best beef I’ve had in a long time. They were very accommodating in taking in a party of 25 people in very short notice - twice! The estate is a true agriturismo with a great variety of animals and crops.

Visiting history and present in this almost ancient estate was a great experience.

We know this place since 2008 and we can tell that is amazing. Its PERFECT for families and also for a romantic chill weekend with your love one! 
The landscapes in the place and the soundings are INCREDIBLE. As all ITALY. There is a peaceful atmosphere and a very efficient services.

BEST PLACE EVER. FOR FAMILIES AND COUPLES

The Tenuta is in the middle of 400 acre of pure nature and it's and old town where families use to live and farm their piece of land. The Tenuta is a farm with their own production of Chianina, which is spectacular for food lovers. The rooms are so cozy and so characteristic and at the same time comfortable and very modern. Then there is the best part:  Claudio and his team that will look after you like your family will do with you. Perfect host and always ready to help you with everything. Also is where they filmed the last Pinocchio movie with Roberto Benigni. AMazing! Really Chapeau to Tenuta La Fratta!

...SIMPLY AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE....

We stayed at La Fratta for 2 weeks with our family and we had the most magical of stays. This is a place rich in history and full of small little wonders to discover. The rooms are in historical buildings so you cannot expect to have all the comforts of a modern settings, but having said that, they are very comfortable, with big beds, very clean and all amenities in place and working. The estate itself is a beauty like no others. You can take walks that last for hours and still you are on the property of the estate. The staff is friendly, kind and very supportive. Waking up in the morning and having breakfast in the garden is just perfect. In addition to that, there is an incredible large swimming pool with an amazing view in front of it. Last but not least, the estate offers 2 restaurants, La Toraia, which offers the best of organic meat from Tuscany (Chianina) you can possibly find (breed directly few hundred meters away on the estate) and Osteria, which more traditional Tuscan food and a more homey feeling. Both of them are delicious. If you are looking for a place where to experience history, organic delicious food, and wonderful setting in the heart of Tuscany, look no further, you will fall in love with this place and you will want to come back many times. We will definitely be back.

The best estate in Tuscany, period

The room was lovely. Clean and comfortable with a beautiful hallway room with lovely sofas and fireplace outside. The two restaurants were good. The only downside was the beer brewed there was poor and there was no other kind available . The pool and grounds were pretty . It is as advertised.... a working farm with no frills . Not worthy of the terrible reviews !! If you are going there I think you will enjoy your stay .

Wedding 

This place is a bad joke. Of 100 euros they charged me for a mediocre room without internet, they also open swimming pool to strangers in the village. In the same time the staff had no problem to ask me to pay 3 EUR fee even though we are hotel guests!! Outdoor space is dirty. The breakfast we were served were the industrial choca pics cereals and two slices of a cheap ham. This place is a disgrace. The property is totally ruined and need renovation. The other thing I did not expect to find was a radiator under shower, what a mess! I would not recommend this place to anyone. Waste of money and time. Avoid at all cost.

Ruined, crap place

I really enjoyed the weekend with my two boys 7 and 11 years of age who really wanted to stay at a property with animals! 
Tenuta la Fratta was the perfect option. The Estate has a didactic farm with chiana cows, cinta senese, horses, goats, geese and roosters.  
They are owners of La Toraia a farm of Chiana and Cinta Senese two of the oldest breeds of beef and pork in the world. They have two restaurants on the Estate La Toraia and I Due Apostoli my boys of course preferred La Toraia as they have burgers all of the fair is direct from their farm top quality products
The Tenuta where you stay is a beautiful Agriturismo type property the rooms are very clean although simple, beds are comfortable with a/C and heating that works perfectly. 
The breakfast is also simple although perfect with sustainable products from their estate. They also produce kraft beer that is exceptional. The swimming pool has a beautiful garden area and is 25metres ! 
The staff are all very professional and friendly. Absolutely loved this place and will certainly return

Charming Farm Estate

For our wedding we wanted a venue with rooms to host over 100 guests travelling from around the world and that could serve great food. When we found La Fratta we knew it was the right place. Now that the wedding has happened I can say that La Fratta is so much more than beautiful accomodations and amazing food. The relaxed atmosphere and rustic environment was paired by an incredibly efficient, polite and accomodating staff, who welcomed, hosted and fed (very well!) over 110 people for a whole weekend, ensuring everyone had a great time. What most impressed me is that even though all the staff worked really hard, they were always smiling and ready for a joke, which contributed even more to the relaxed and happy vibe of the wedding. The wedding turned out to be even better than I had dreamt of and guests did not want to leave on Sunday!! We couldn't have chosen a better place! Thanks Nicolo', Giulia, Ivan, Rebecca, Debora and all the team for your incredible work!

The wedding of my dreams!

We had 1 night not booked knowing we would be driving around Tuscany hill country and wasn't sure where we would be around 5pm. Picked this place after seeing on site and cross checking on different sites. Our group of 4 loved it - totally off the beaten path but close to town. It's an actual farm and some areas look very run down, but we appreciated the  unique experience and the relaxing evening  by the pool and then dinner on site. Will admit we joked we would never stay at a place that looked like this from the outside at home in US, but the staff were great, dinner was great and while room was sparsely furnished, it had what we needed and we slept well. We would definitely recommend, just come in with an open mind to the history of the location.
