This is rare find and the best kept secret in Bellagio. Located in Pescallo about 10 minutes walk from Bellagio centre. We booked apartment 1 and the property was just perfect. The views of the lake are spectacular, the apartment is spacious and comfortable. We are keen swimmers and the access to the lake directly out the front was perfect. Beautifully styled, Spotlessly clean, and a great kitchen with the essentials. Elena the concierge was amazing and on call at any time should we have needed anything. We will definitely be back. 

Better Thank Bellagio!

These apartments are special. They are owned by an architect/designer and every corner, crevice and object in the apartments speak to this. The location is all down to Mother Nature and she has delivered in spades. Anyone would be hard pressed to find a more superb location. It’s not an easy walk to town. Close yes it easy NO. The only way in is to walk and you need to have some fitness to do walk in abs back once or twice a day. There are taxis for longer trips but they don’t do short trips. Besides from this my only other issue was I could only get hot water in one of the showers on a couple of mornings - which was so annoying because you really need your showers. But the apartment was seriously stunning and value for money and the location is brilliant. Provisions were left, and so appreciated for the first day, can highly recommend.

Superb design and unparalleled location

As many of the prior reviews have noted, this is a beautiful property in an unbeatable location — Pescallo is a calm oasis from the highly touristy areas of Bellagio.  We thoroughly enjoyed the large balcony of Apt 4 overlooking the beautiful lake and spent most of our days and evenings lounging there.  A few things to consider before booking:
1) Because of its location, there are many steps to climb to get to and from the town center, where all the shops and restaurants are located.  There are very limited dining options in Pescallo (meal delivery is non-existent) so you have no choice but to go to town.  On a hot day, the trek to town can be quite demanding.  
2). Apt 4 has two bedrooms -  the second bedroom is connected to the rest of the apartment via an exterior balcony that overlooks a public path that tourists and visitors take to get to the lake.  This might be a concern for those traveling with children.  
3) The apartment is straight out of Architecture Digest, beautifully decorated with artwork, books and tchotchkes throughout.  It can feel a little overly curated and potentially unnerving if you have children in tow.  I was always cautious that I might knock and break something.  
4) Other minor annoyances — No bathroom hooks for towels, sinks with low rims that water gets everywhere and no air conditioning (though it was nice to sleep with the the windows open on breezy evenings).  There is daily housekeeping but towels are not replaced and toiletries are not replenished.  
The apartment has an aura of glamour which befits the whole of Lake Como.  You’ll feel somewhat special staying there with the constant number of tourists outside snapping photos of the property (it’s that picturesque).

Beautiful apartment (#4) with incredible views but some things to consider

We had the ground floor apartment with a lake level terrace.  The accommodation is fantastic, with a great kitchen. It is a relatively easy walk over the ridge to Bellagio.  We can not wait until we can come back and visit again.

Best place in Bellagio/ Pescallo

We traveled as two couples to Bellagio and were utterly dazzled with the location, facilities, and finish of the Pescallo apartment (we stayed on the ground floor in number 3.)

A few small challenges -- we booked transport from the airport through Elena, the property manager, and the driver never arrived due to car trouble; the taxi driver from Milan had difficulty in finding the location.

As another reviewer mentioned, mosquitoes are a real issue due to open windows without screens -- perhaps some of the mosquito plugs in the bedrooms would be useful, and a coil for the outside area.

Everything else about Pescallo is extremely positive.  The location is unbeatable and so relaxing compared with the tourist crowds in Bellagio.  Every aspect of the property is beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds, hot showers, and all amenities.  Water and wine in the fridge, and fruit on arrival, were nice touches.

The daily cleaners were wonderful, changing towels and lightbulbs as needed.

Elena was very responsive and gave us loads of local recommendations; our transport back to the airport was prompt and professional.  I agree that a printed book of info/maps to groceries and restaurants would be useful.

Be aware of the many steps required to get to and from town, take a shopping bag with you for provisions, and enjoy every minute at this paradise on earth.

Lakeside heaven in Bellagio

We had the ground floor apartment and it was so beautiful my mouth dropped open and I wanted to cry! Haha .
Before I go on to tout the many many amazing qualities of this apartment, I want to address one big negative if you go when it's hot...NO air conditioning in this unit.  They give you fans which do not cool the air.  They recommend sleeping with the windows open, but the main area bedrooms do not have windows in the bedroom, and the detached bedroom has a huge one facing the lake which also means every bug in the world comes in.  I had 9 mosquito bites the first night and that was leaving the window open only before we went to sleep and I had mosquito repellant on!   Additionally, while everything is beautifully decorated, the styling provided many many nooks and crannies for those mosquitos to hide out in.  Behind the many knick knacks on the shelves or books and art on the floor.  Perhaps a sleeker minimalist design would make it easier to clean dust and webs.  I didn't feel like the place was dirty- just couldn't get all the bugs. Now on to the many many fantastic things....
 Its big, there are 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds in each and a third very small room with bunk beds, of which you can only use the bottom bunk.  One of the queen bedrooms is actually detached from the main area, up a small flight of stairs.  It has it's own bathroom and a pretty window that opens up right onto a gorgeous view of the lake.  This would be ideal for 2 couples traveling together.  The patio area is magnificent.  It has a large table for dining al fresco, and 4 sling chairs for sitting, sipping wine and gazing at the fabulous view.  The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you could need as well as some starter essentials like salt and pepper, tea etc... In the fridge was a fabulous bottle of white sparkling wine and water.  There is even a washer and dryer if you need it!   The tiny beach in front was a great place to take a dip in the cool lake.  You will feel like a movie star on your patio as people look up and wonder " is that a hotel" "do those people live there" and " wow, I'm jealous of those people" ! I'd be jealous of us too!!! The location is quiet and serene.  There are over 200 wide steps leading to town.  If you do not have small children or trouble walking, this is actually a plus because it will allow you to work off all that gelato you should be eating!!! In town, you will find a grocer with fruits and veggies etc and also a couple of deli style shops with cold cuts and bread and wine and cheese - what more do you need?
Parking is a bit tricky to find a spot but at some point one will always open up.  If you decide to drive into town, there is plenty of free parking along the side of the road and there is also a lot near the ferry, but walking only takes about 15 min.  It is dark at night but not dangerous or scary.
The bathrooms are super modern and the showers are made of concrete.  You will feel like you are in a grotto.  They provide robes as well. The living area is huge and comfy too.
My suggestions for the owners to make their already great place even better are 1) figure out how to air condition the ground floor unit bedrooms 
2) keep the aesthetic but have less on the floor and shelves so bugs don't have a place to hide
3) Make better use of your bedrooms by having 2 beds pushed together so they can be separated if needed.  Perhaps friends or families with older children are traveling together and sharing a queen bed can be awkward 
If you are lucky enough to snag a spot here for your trip you are in for a lovely, better than expected experience. This was our 3rd visit to Bellagio and if you are comfortable finding your way or if you want to feel like you are part of the community, renting these apartments is the way to go.

Apt #3 - Breathtakingly beautiful! Would give 10 stars if only it had air conditioning!

The apartment is beautiful.  Modern and sleek which we appreciated.  The location is lovely, a residential area.  PLEASE NOTE: if you are traveling with elders or infants the location will be an issue.  Although the walk to town is only 15-20 minutes it is up two steep hills with cobbled stairs...so strollers are a no go and again if you have anyone senior or anyone with a bad knee etc you will not want to stay here.  There isn’t any shopping or restaurants near the apartment.  Our hostess recommend we eat at the restaurant right next door, I would not recommend.  Food is mediocre and service was the pits.  The walk back from Bellagio up and down the stairs is  also not illuminated well at night to walk home.  Must be careful on stairs.  In addition, we were disappointed that our hostess did not spend much time showing us around the apartment.  She appeared rushed.  For example, she did not show us that we had air conditioning in each room or how to use it.  In addition, some of the rooms have electronic blinds covering the skylight....had to fumble and figure that out ourselves.  No information on TV’s etc.  In addition it was disappointing for the price we paid, which was equivalent to about $600US a night I would expect the typical Air BNB welcome binder that tells you all the recommended restaurants, grocery stores, sights to see etc.  We had none of that.  WHen we asked our hostess she started naming a bunch of places to us and of course we would never remember so we asked her to text us. 

Beautiful Apartment - Some Important Considerations!

We could not have ask for a more perfect stay - the apartment (we stayed in 3) was ultra luxurious and amazingly decorated / with the finest attention payed to every single detail - both main bedrooms were wonderful, and the shared living space was delightful to spend time in. We also spent a number of hours each day on the gorgeous terrace with million dollar views over Lake Como. Pescallo itself is just a 10 minute walk from Bellagio, but much more quiet and picturesque - it was perfect! Elena checked is in and she was a wealth of information and incredibly friendly. 

Absolute designer oaisis

This is a lovely apartment over two floors with two bedrooms and bathrooms. It's contemporary and comfortable with a balcony and windows overlooking the lake and moored yachts. It is away from the bustle of Bellagio, but it is a quick drive or a 10 min walk. Bellagio itself is a really beautiful town and the frequent ferries (including car ferries) mean that you can easily visit other locations. Highly recommended.

Beautiful view, great location

We recently stayed in Bellagio for our first time and were so lucky to have stayed at Pescallo Apartments.  Elena was such a lovely host.  She helped us arrange cars prior to arrival and warmly met us at the property with very helpful recommendations for our trip.  The 2 story 2 bedroom apartment was clean, modern, beautiful and went above and beyond our expectations.  The location is right on the water and it was extremely easy for us to walk anywhere.  We can't wait to return and will definitely be staying there again!
