We went last summer (june 2022) to this camping. We've reserved a safari tent with a dutch organisation (Greencamps). The Safari tents are great. Pitches also are good. the safari tents had some shade, but most other spots did not (yet) have shad from the trees. Also the ground of the pitches seemed a bit hard and rocky at some places (which is not ideal if you have to setup your own tent).

Swimming pool is fantastic: a nice small children's bath and a large  swimming pool with lounge beds for older children and adults. The pool might get a bit crowded in high season, if all camping spots are used.

Play area and camping shop are basic, but good price-quality and we loved to get a ice cream or coacktail when our oldest son was playing there.

Staff is very friendly and attentive, so we did have a great time. And additional plus for the camping is that they have shared cooking facilities and a shared refrigerator (which we did not use due to the fact we had one in our safari tent).

Although, of course, there are some options for the camping to improve:
- The camping lacks facilities to change or shower with small babies
- The showers are lacking option to hang your clothes on parentheses on the wall
- In high season the amount of showers can be a bit low for the amount of guests
- Swimming pool could use some extra beds and umbrellas

Also, location is good if you don't want  to be in the Tuscan mainland and close by the sea. Supermarkets and sea are about 10 /15 minutes drive be car and enough activities within a 30 minute drive by car for kids.

Conclusion: would recommend this camping for sure to friends and family, if they are looking to reside on a small family camping in a less touristic part of Tuscany. We've loved to stay on this camping with our 2 (very) young kids.

Great camping, with some small options to improve

This is the second time we have been to this camping and we are delighted. Everything is made for a great holiday. The reception, the cleanliness of the bungalows, the pool, the evening pool party, etc.. and especially the sympathy of the family managing this camping (from "Nono" to the whole new generation). I definitely recommend this place for holidays. 

Our favorite camping in Italy

We stopped here for 1 day on our (me, my wife and a 3 and 6 year old boys) week-long motorhome trip in Tuscany. 

The pros: The place looks brand new, it is beautifully maintained and clean and has a big pool (and one for the children too). The view is very Tuscany-like, the land is flat and perfect for biking (unlike in most parts of Tuscany). The owners are friendly, the price was very reasonable too (22 €/night, low season prices). 

Bad stuff? There are no near shops, so come prepared. Fresh bread daily service exists though, but was not available yet since it was early in the season.

If you are looking for a (short or long) break from tourist packed major landmarks and want some peace and quiet in a beautiful place, this is definitely to be considered. If we make another trip in Tuscany we will definitely make a stop here.

Peaceful rest, beautiful, great for family with small children

We were in Tuscany for a wedding and our group all stayed in the Villa and had our own rooms with ensuites. I'm so glad we did, it was so fantastic that I didn't want to leave! Our room (#5) had a walkout balcony with breathtaking view of the countryside. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Common kitchen was equipped well and we made our own dinner one night. The hosts were extremely hospitable and always available. They even made us the most delicious tiramisu with fresh farm eggs!! 

Fantastic 5-night stay in the Villa

Big house. nice surroundings, close to the beach. Fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden free of charge, nice pool for kids. Wonderful party near the swimming pool on Thursday evening
I totally recommend it.

Very nice

We stayed in the mobile home for a week and enjoy traditional dinner twice. Great to enjoy fresh vegetables out of the garden. It was very relaxing and there is a lot to visit nearby for example bolgheri. Maybe also offer nice lunch for next year?

Nice family camping

This week we returned again to Nonna Stella. It feels like coming home. The camping sites are spacious and located around the pool. Nonna Stella is a great place to start discovering Tuscany along the Etruscan coast line. 

It is definitely worth to make biking tours and enjoy the landscape of vineyards. Special recommendation is the town of Bolgheri.
