Very friendly and helpful owners, great comfortable rooms with a beautiful vineyard view, wonderful breakfast and the view from the breakfast terrace is just magic.  Excellent location (although a couple hundred meters up a pretty steep hill) near the river promenade and Castle Runkelstein.  This is the best place we’ve stayed on our trip! (Out of a couple dozen places)

Fantastic small family hotel on a hill

We stayed for two nights as part of a cycling holiday.  The hotel is close to one of the many cycle tracks in the area and although the last 200 metres or so were steeply uphill it was well worth the short climb!  Our room was very well equipped and had a balcony with stunning views.  The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing with a huge choice, and the evening meals were delicious.  The owner could not have been more friendly and helpful, including noticing from my husband's passport that it was his birthday and providing an impromptu cake, candle and glass of fizz!  We loved our stay here!!

A family run hotel with fabulous views, food and service

Extraordinary good service by the hostess and her team. Real autentic ‘agriturismo’ feeling. Warm and helpful.
Hotel restaurant average, rooms very good, service in top.
Personally I would prefer Hotel Hanny over any luxury hotel any time.

Excellent service

Our room was very nice, the hotel owners were lovely people, and the location was absolutely beautiful. In addition the restaurant was delicious for breakfast and dinner. The be able to sit at a table taking advantage of their bountiful breakfast buffet and gazing at the simply mesmerizing views was entirely magical! We have stayed in many hotels, but Hanny was wonderful!

A perfect Alto Adige hotel!

We stayed 4 nights at Hanni hotel in bolzano and It is definitely the best hotel we stayed at in italy. Margot and her husband make you feel at home. Rooms are realy confortable with nice views on the montains. Excellent value for money. The scenary is great and if you look for peace and quiet, do not hesitate. Great home made diner and even greater breakfast. With bikes (for free) you will be in town in 5 minutes. Lots of cycle track. And of course, walk in the montains.

dream stay in Bolzano

This is an excellent hotel. Our room  and bathroom were modern, spacious and clean. It is an extremely quiet hotel, as it is located on the crest of a hill on the outskirts of Bolzano, apart from the traffic of the city. The views from the hotel dining area and terrace of the Dolomites are very special. They are mesmerizing. The breakfast is lavish.  Everything you can think of is available. Eggs are made to order. We stayed three days and had scrambled eggs with chives each day which were delicious. You can order several types of  coffee. They even had a whole honey comb on one of the several buffet tables, which we had never run across  at any restaurant. Parking is ample. Several people have commented about walking to the city. We are two 80-year-olds and had no problem walking down the very, short steep side road to the main street. From there one can walk along a leafy, pretty, tree-lined promenade, which runs parallel to the river - which by the way can not be seen when the trees and shrubbery are in bloom - to the bridge that leads into the center of the city. The Oezki Museum is just a few minutes walk form this intersection. It took us less than 25 minutes to walk from the hotel along the promenade to the museum. We highly recommend it. The hotel provides a list of restaurants in town. The two  we tried were very good and moderately priced. Parking is a problem in town, but with patience and luck one can find a place not too far away. Please remember that in Italy blue-lined parking spots are not free; white-marked spots are. We did not walk to the restaurants. We drove using our GPS, which was not a problem. The streets are very narrow. one-way sometimes,  and confusing. It would have been a challenge without our GPS. We found it a treat to stay at this hotel and highly recommend it for a relaxing, comfortable stay.  The beauty of the views cannot be overstated.

An excellent hotel with a lavish breakfast and captivating views of the Dolomites

Stayed recently with 3 friends.Fairly small family run hotel.Situated in a very picturesque valley on the outskirts of
Bolzano.Spotlessly clean pleasant rooms with balconies.Surrounded by vinyards,one of which belongs to the hotel which makes its own wine,again highly recommended.
Also excellent food if you choose to eat at the hotel in the evening.Breakfast is more than adequate.
Bolzano is of course famous for the iceman.There are also 3 different cable cars which go into the surrounding hills and mountains from Bolzano.You can drive up into the high Dolomites.
It is probably about a twenty minute walk into Bolzano centre
from the hotel but having a car is recommended for getting about.


Location ,Location ! Lovely hotel in a beautiful location

Although a little off the beaten track, this hotel was a gem. It is tucked away on a hillside overlooking vineyards and mountains, very nice views! It is located about a 20-25-minute walk along the river from the center of Bolzano. There is nothing in the near vicinity, but the hotel has a restaurant open to guests only. We stayed for three nights and had dinner there all three nights. Good food, well cooked by the owner, but could do with some extra trimmings, eg sauce. Nevertheless, it tasted good and it was very convenient to be able to have dinner at the hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious. Rather hard bed, but having stayed in a number of hotels in Germany and Italy, I think that is standard. We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the vineyards with a table and two chairs. There is a lift in the building. There was a fridge on the landing (3rd floor) with beer, soft drinks and wine. There is a form that you fill out and present upon check-out which we thought was a nice touch. Free parking just outside. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! Beautifully displayed, with everything you could think of and more. Plenty of choices. All in all, we were very happy with our stay, very nice and friendly host and hostess. The only drawback is the location and the very steep hill you have to walk up to the hotel when coming back, but on the other hand the surroundings are beautiful and very quiet.

If I had run a hotel management school, I would have asked the Hotel Hanny’s owners to teach there.

This place for me was not just about how good everything was, but more about how much love the family puts into the business and how it shows in very detail.
 
This is not a place with  luxurious rooms – but honestly, I would not want to be anywhere else without the ambiance and services of the Hotel Hanny. (Or the wine from their own vineyard).

It was not just a stay but an experience - everyday, starting with an amazing view over the slopes and followed by an unbelievable breakfast (among many things offered,  their own homemade jams) – and ending at night with an amazing dinner, with their own wine. 

My only regret? 
At the check-out I bought only 2 jars of their delicious jam.  What was I thinking?

The place to be

Location : overlooking vineyards and river from restaurant and terrace you could look across Bolzano and surrounding mountains. From the balcony of room 201 you could look up the valley to see the castle Runkelstein - well worth a visit. If you are not using a car then the walk up from the promenade to the hotel is quite a strain unless you are fit. Walk along river promenade is brilliant some good views across to the dolomites and on far bank a fitness trail as well as several sport pitches. The hotel is comfortable spacious and the food excellent we only had dinner first night but it was Master Chef standard. Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice with lovely views it would be out of this world on a sunny summer morning. Being family run nothing was too much trouble. Would I stay here again  100% yes
