We stayed at Casa Alba for one night. 
The Pino and Rosetta, the hosts were wonderful. They made everything to make us feel comfortable and were helpful  even though they don’t speak English. 
We spoke through translate app. Breakfast was great. The location of Casa Alba is great. Few minutes of walking from the center but in a place you can park the car if you come with one.  The room was also nice and comfortable. 

Recommended B&B at Caltagirone

We stayed at Casa Alba two years ago for five nights.  We knew that there was no other place that we would want to stay on our return for a 7 night stay.  Mr. and Mrs. Alba are extremely hospitable.  It is obvious they want their guests to be comfortable and to enjoy their stay.  The rooms are immaculate.  We travel extensively and the breakfast at Casa Alba cannot be surpassed.  Mr. Alba brings fresh pastries from the best pastry chefs in town.  Mr. and Mrs. Alba are also helpful with tourist information and arranging shuttle service.  For a stay in Caltagirone or anywhere near Caltagirone, Casa Alba is definitely the place to stay.

Superior B&B

I stayed here for three nights whilst travelling through southern sicily...the owner kindly offered to collect me from the bus station which was on the edge of the new town...they did not speak english but we managed to communicate via translation apps etc...very comfortable room ...rooftop terrace......good location.... very near the gardens and ceramic  museum.. ten minutes walk to the flight of steps with tiles....highlights are all the ceramics shops/ workshops..christmas fair,decorations so very busy and festive .....lovely atmosphere....owners help me sort out my onward journey and again took me to the bus....thank you so much..

Great hospitality...

My husband and I stayed here for a night while driving through southeastern Sicily. The owner helped us find a parking space on the street, which was helpful. It’s a very nice little b&b where a lot of care has been put into the aesthetics. Our room was very pleasant and there’s a terrace with a view of the mountains. Breakfast was also wonderful, with an immense number of options (this was a little overwhelming since we were the only guests - definitely spoiled for choice). The owners are extremely friendly but don’t speak any English. This was fine except for when we tried to check out. 

We tried to use a Visa, per the listing that said they accepted all major credit cards, but the owner told us that she didn’t know how to use the credit card machine and her husband, who did, wouldn’t be back until the evening. This was a problem since we didn’t have a lot of cash at that particular moment, and weren’t able to prepare. My husband ended up having to run up to the piazza about half a mile away, in the midday heat, to get the cash. It was upsetting in part because it was entirely preventable, either by putting up a sign saying that they preferred cash, or by asking us how we planned to pay the night before when we checked in. 

A couple other small things to note - the air conditioning was weak, which would have been an issue if we’d been staying more than one night, and the bed was two twin beds pushed together, with one having had significantly more use than the other. My husband and I are both tall, so this made sleeping a little uncomfortable, but it probably wouldn’t be problematic for everyone. 

Caltagirone itself is pretty sleepy except for the ceramics shops. We also discovered belatedly that nearly all of the restaurants in town are closed on Tuesday night - something to be aware of. Otherwise it’s a pleasant little Sicilian city. 


Nice little b&b but be sure to bring cash

My wife and I came here mid November. Warm welcome by the hosts and perfectly clean and comfortable room, good size bathroom with excellent shower. We will most definitely return as we come to visit friends and family on a regular basis.

GREAT HOSPITALITY

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while traveling through Sicily. We wanted to stay in Caltagirone to do some ceramics shopping and exploring the city. I feel we made the best choice possible. The number one reason has to be the enthusiasm and welcoming spirit of the sweet couple who own the facility. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and were made to feel like family during our stay. Our room and all of the common areas were immaculately clean, very comfortable,  and tastefully decorated. I never was able to sample each of the delicious offerings laid out for breakfast, as there were just too many too choose from. Certainly, for me, the standouts were the homemade marmalades. The location was perfect...just across the street from the main town, which meant being removed from crowded streets and traffic. There was also a fabulous public garden steps away where we enjoyed walking in the afternoon. We were also shown a place to park just steps away from the front door of the B & B. This is the #1 ranked B & B in Caltagirone, and it is well deserved!
