Thank you everyone at Montecristo, once again we had a wonderful stay. We have been coming to stay for a number of years and we are always made to feel incredibly welcome. Abramo, the new manager, really knows how to keep his guests happy, and all the hotel staff, from the reception desk to the poolside staff to the gentleman that collects our luggage to the ladies that clean and tidy our rooms, to the maitre and his team, to the night Porter, are so professional,  helpful and friendly. The chef is grand and the food is delicious, and we are always grateful when you accommodate our off menu requests!! The hotel is very clean and well kept, the pool is a joy and a welcome respite from the scorching beach and with it being 30 seconds walk from the sea, you can literally dip in from one to the other. It’s is also perfectly placed for evening walks into Marina di Campo where crepes and ice creams are a must. We were very sad to leave and  we  can’t wait to come again next year! Thank you! 

Great hotel, amazing staff, fab pool and delicious food!

Definitely a great place to stay. Beautiful view over the Marina di Campo bay. Great breakfast. Staff is the great plus of this hotel. They were more than helpful in accommodating all our request.
The pool bar is just in front of the beach and it’s been great to have a few cocktails at sunset.
Parking place is spacious and the overall condition of the hotel is just spot on.

Great staff and remarkable view.

We are very pleasure, that we selected this hotel to our stay on Elba. Hotel is very nice, clean and fragrant We had a room with terrace and direct sea view (thank you Mr. director)!!! This room have a excellent view. The dinner in this hotel is very very tasty - thank you to people who prepared the food! Staff on reception, in the restaurant and others are on high professional level. Man from pool bar made very good drinks! Again thank you so much and we hope that next Year see you again.

Amazing holiday

Hotel Montecristo is a gem. From the moment we arrived we felt we were home and never wanted to leave. Francesco and Barbara and all the team are incredibly kind and make you feel that you are the only person staying with them. For those who have never been to Marina di Campo—you are in for a special treat. We started each day with an early morning swim in the bay, just a few steps from the hotel. And we loved the afternoons at the pool which is absolutely sparkling and lovely with the breeze from the sea. Getting to Hotel Montecristo takes some work but no one ever wants to leave. 

Paradise Itself

Very nice check-in, helpful staff, good rooms, very clean, good beds, nice bathroom, good WiFi, sea view. Both dinner and breakfast at thge hotel are recommended. Big lobby, good fitness area. Only 1 minute away from the beach.

Beautiful seaviw

Hotel situated practically on the beach. Beautiful sandy beach with all amenities,including a wonderful beach restaurant serving the most delicious seafood.
We were booked into the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.Buffet breakfast had all traditional options.Wonderful coffee!!
We had dinner there on a few occasions. Wonderful salad bar. Main courses more the "nouvelle cuisine" style,still delicious.
Room in typical Italian style,especially bathroom with most divine tiles.
Fresh bedlinen everyday.
The hotel staff from the Director down were extremely helpful.
We plan to return there.

Perfect Holiday

From arrival to departure everything was absolutely amazing. The hospitality of all the staff was impeccable and so friendly! The hotel is very pretty, perfectly located and very clean. The food is great and The hotel is also super dog friendly! We would happily go back any time.

Lovely

The so called fitness centre is terrible and i was very angry that the hotel advertised with it. None of the gym machines worked, the only useable device have been the 2 free weights, however they were very old and rusty. I talked about that with the hotel manager who seemed to know about the condition of the gym. 

Second poor thing was that we payed for a non smokers room and got a room which flavoured of smoke strongly, again we complained about that but did not get another room. 

Good thing was that the staff was always friendly with one expectation: the headwaiter. He refused to take orders because "its not his job" but also did not tell anyone else to come to receive the order. If he wanted to ask guests for something he was very unfriendly: e.g. one morning we entered the breakfast room 2 minutes before the breakfast started. He asked very unfriendly if we had a permission to be in the breakfast room. That happened after one week of eating there, so he must have known us. 

The breakfast was very sugary and expensive, however it wasn't terrible. 

The dinner was ok in terms of value for money considering the high prices on Elba. To put it in other words: one could eat better in Marina di Campo but that would be exensive, too. 

In order to end with a good thing: the pool is very nice, moreover the hotel is very close to the beach.
