I've never been so shocked as by the treatment we received at this hotel. Nothing is included - not towels, not linen, not even dish washing liquid. Ok, fine I can deal with that as we got a good price, but after check in things went rapidly downhill. The owner had taken our passports while we used the 'complimentary' bikes to explore the island, but for the next two days the reception was locked and no one around each time we tried to return the keys for the bicycle locks and collect our passports. Eventually I messaged the owner to arrange to meet him at reception, and received  a rude and sarcastic reply about how he'd been around all day (I'm not sure how we were supposed to find him?). So on the final day when we checked out we were handed an extortionate bill - €10 each for towels, €40 hidden cleaning charge, €40 for not returning the bike keys soon enough.. then as we were trying to figure out how to pay it we were told that we should be put in jail and if we argue the bill the police would be called. As if this wasn't stressful enough, 30 minutes after departing the owner sent me a barrage of texts including photos of the apartment because we hadn't cleaned it... hang on, what was the €40 cleaning charge meant to be for then? We certainly hadn't left it in a bad state but considering no cleaning products were supplied or even a rubbish bin I'm not sure what was expected of us. 
I've never been so stressed on holiday before and I'm even now still receiving rude texts!

What a horrible place

There are *lots* of hidden costs that could be in the original price (extortionate cleaning fees, extortionate charges for towels). Our original cost of £250 for a flat was reasonable but we found ourselves shocked by a £110 charge he rudely demanded we pay at the end. 

The owner himself was incredibly rude: he demanded only a man carry the towels and sheets, refusing to let our female friend take them from him. 

They took our passports from us upon arrival and reception was rarely open so we couldn't collect them - when we messaged him to ask for them, he sent us a rude and frankly bizarre text saying that he had been there 'all day' (he hadn't - we'd visited multiple times). 

When we complained about our huge leaving bill (but paid nonetheless) he proceeded to rudely text us during our journey home pictures of the 'mess' that we had left (a few receipts and empty plastic bottles on the table - not unreasonable we thought for a £40 cleaning charge). He acted quite strangely and even said 'if this was in England you would be in jail' because we questioned the charges - odd!

The flat was poorly stocked with no bin and the £10 a day per person sheets charge did not include a duvet - just a very rough, scratchy blanket. 

Worst of all we are all covered in bites from the beds. We assumed it was Mosquitos but didn't see any in the flat and two of us had 10+ bites and they only appeared in the nights. We assumed the beds have bugs in them. 

The worst experience we have all ever had on a beautiful island - I strongly suggest you don't risk your holiday and book somewhere else.
