The accommodation was clean, warm, and very welcoming. The family who ran it were excellent hosts couldn't do enough.
Breakfast had plenty of choice to keep you going through the day. Ideally situated for the local restaurants for your evening meal if apres ski is your thing you are around 25 mins walk from Canazei uphill if the buses have stopped for the night.
There is a bus stop outside hotel to get you to the slopes. The best access to Sella Ronda is to take the 2 min journey to the cable car at Alba. 
I will use again next time I'm in the area and would recommend as an ideal Base to explore this stunning area

Solo ski week

Fabulous guesthouse. Facilities are comfortable and very clean. We stayed in room 10 as a twin room. It was spacious, modern and clean with ample storage including a safe and a good sized bathroom with a good shower. The beds were fairly comfortable and my only suggested improvement would be to provide extra pillows. The room temperature was ideal for us - we turned the radiator on in the evening to warm us up and help dry off our ski clothes and then turned the heating off and cracked open one window overnight which made it a comfortable sleeping temperature. 
The communal facilities are bright and pleasant. The breakfast room is large with a nice view up the mountain. The breakfast is a typical continental buffet including hot scrambled eggs each day and coffee/ tea made to order. There is a separate lounge area which we used each day after skiing - although not officially having a bar could get coffees, hot chocolate and beer from then hotel and would just bring our own cakes and chocolate from the nearby supermarket. We were also able to use this area as a dining area a couple of evenings during our stay when we ordered some take-out food for dinner from the local butchers shop. Gilda and Marco kindly set up a table for us and provided cutlery, crockery and glasses and then cleared up afterwards. 
The ski and boot room has a ski rack and heated boot rack with enough space for all residents. It is probably big enough to for about 6-8 people to be getting kitted up at any one time. 
I also used the sauna, which is very reasonably charged at €5 per person, per usage. It sits in a nice little spa area which also includes a whirlpool bath, a shower and some relaxation chairs. The sauna has to be reserved the day before to allow time for it to be heated up, and the staff lay out towels, robes and a jog of warmed fruit tea. 
Location-wise the guesthouse is up in Alba which is a nice quiet area. It is about a 20 minute walk downhill to Canazei, which means uphill on the way back, but the ski bus service does run reasonably regularly until about 9pm. It’s probably not the ideal location for someone wanting to enjoy the Canazei aprés-ski and nightlife, but is ideal for those who enjoy a slightly quieter area. There is a small selection of restaurants in Alba itself, within a short 5-10 minute walk, and we particularly enjoyed Pizzeria Edy which we returned to a few times. Getting to the ski lifts was easiest by bus, and we tended to go up to the Alba cable car/ gondola. The buses were a little bit hit and miss, but we never had any more than a 15 min wait. 
Overall we thought the guesthouse delivered well above our expectations, and many thanks to Gilda and Marco for being such friendly and attentive hosts.

Great guesthouse, delivers above it’s rating

Perfectly located in the Dolimits. The development
in the lift system, everything makes Cesa Rotic a pearl
in the area. Close to everything regardless of whether you have a car
or use the buses. The perfect experience

the tip, trumps most things. Ask me who
visited the hotel over twenty times! Does not exist
on the map to go somewhere else!

And always lovely weather......

We had a wonderful two week stay at the Cesa Rotic, the hosts Marco & Gilda are very friendly.  The rooms are spacious and decorated nicely.  Breakfast had a good spread with plenty of choice including eggs.
The Hotel is a great location for this amazing ski area, with two bus stops outside for either the Alba lifts or the Canazei gondola.  The ski buses are regular both in the mornings and the afternoons.
We enjoyed the B&B basis as we could explore the local restaurants that Alba & Canazei have to offer.
In my opinion I would rate the Hotel a 4 star!.


Excellent B&B in the center of Alba with great access to the ski area.

The hotel is nice clean. Good breakfast with easy access to the lifts. Either 10 minute walk or a few minutes on the bus. The buses are very regular at peak times 
The resort is a fantastic resort for skiing 
The night life is very quiet. So not a place for party animals. Plenty of good restaurants for an evening meal. If here at peak time book your restaurant the day before

A very nice hotel in a good ski resort

This is a lovely place to stay - the breakfasts are so tasty (we especially loved the home made cakes and flans) and the rooms are appropriately furnished, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi room as a lovely way to unwind, followed by a local beer in the bar before heading out for a meal which makes for a great start to the evening. 
We spent a very pleasant week here as a base for skiing and winter walking. Hosts Marco and Gilda are so welcoming, and helpful, providing us with useful local knowledge and even a cookery lesson!
Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Skiing trip with the family

The hotel was simply excellent.  I stayed there with my  2 sons for a ski trip.  It is family run and they made us feel very comfortable.  The room was large and very clean.  Breakfast was good.  There was the option for home cooked food,fixed menu, which we ended up having every night.  The hotel is situated close to the ski lifts and the skiing was excellent.  I can’t recommend highly enough this hotel.

Very charming hotel, the room was very clean and tidy, it had wonderful atmosphere and the owner and his wife where very helpful nothing was too much trouble , the choice for breakfast was vast all fresh cooked.our room had a balcony with a fantastic view of the mountain, our italian was poor but the owners english was excellent , would stay again , highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel

A lovely, quiet homely hotel. Lovely room, spacious, warm with a lovely shower room. The food was freshly cooked home affair, just what we enjoy after a day on the slopes. Bus stop outside the hotel where you can hop on regular buses to take you on a very short trip to the slopes. Our first trip to the Dolomites and it won't be our last. Fabulous skiing area and it is well worth while paying for the area ski pass and not a local one. The views are amazing and the slopes are wonderfully maintained. On another note, my husband suffered a serious break to his leg whilst skiing; Gilda and Marco, the proprietors could not have been more helpful if they tried. They were so kind and caring and did everything they could to assist me up until leaving their hotel. They even taxied me to the hospital my husband was in on 2 occasions at a fraction of the local taxi company rates of around 150 euros. I cannot praise this little hotel and its owners enough. In our hearts. Thank you Gilda and Marco.

Wonderful Proprietors

Really enjoyed our stay here - half board with Crystal and spent a week skiing. It's really close to slopes and regular skiibus takes about 5 mins to two main lifts. It's family run and service was excellent. Food was excellent and really enjoyed something different every night. All food was simple and from locally available seasonal produce. Particularly delicious were Noodle soup, Gnocchi and radicchio risotto. We're planning to visit again next year.
