Two-day stay with friends while riding a motorcycle in Umbria. Lovely view of Assisi and magnificent mirror, friendly and friendly owner, very good breakfast with their products, fresh cakes and homemade.

Humble

We had the misfortune of staying here for only two nights...we would have liked to stay much longer!!! Structure in the countryside, so green, contagious sympathy of the owner and family, spacious, comfortable, cool and very clean rooms!!! Breakfast with homemade cakes and canned goods, excellent quality price ratio! We hope to return soon... next time we will stop more!!!

Peace and quiet!

We stayed two nights with friends. The place is very well maintained, large garden rooms very nice and clean. Located in a strategic and quiet position.

Not only the very beautiful and relaxing structure with an exceptional view, the very comfortable and clean rooms, but above all the owner who with his warmth and his advice turned out to be a friend we hope to visit again.

Spello purple and canary

B&B Elgaro is also located in a very quiet and very beautiful hilltop area within the walled plot. The owner, Signor Enrico Gargano (a retired Italian from Naples) and his wife, operate this B&B with a very enthusiastic atmosphere (only in September when the Festa di Cipolla takes place, is hell on the roads!). It is a very beautiful modern house, surrounded by a very nice large garden; a park within the walled plot. Recommended B&B

We expected a cute B&B in the Umbrian countryside - but were unprepared for this modern, comfortable home in the most fantastic location with amazing views.  Henry and Ida welcomed us into their purpose built B&B and showed us to a very large room with modern ensuite bath and huge balcony overlooking the beautiful countryside.  We could see Assisi, Spello, Montefalco and Cannara from our terraza.  We spent excellent nights here and Henry and Ida were warm hosts. Breakfast was very good with homemade jams and cakes.  The B&B is immaculate and very comfy.  The grounds are beautiful - filled with gardens and olive trees.  Overall a great place to stay.

A charming surprise

This Bed and Breakfast is suitable for anyone who wants to experience the true colour of Italian life. Family coziness, pleasant surroundings, lovingly chosen interiors, pleasant and friendly hosts, wonderful views, quiet places to stroll around. A homemade morning baking with a cappuccino, in the evening you can walk on a path, breathe in the drunken air and enjoy the silence, the stars and the lights of Assisi for an endless time.

Enrico was a wonderful host and even picked us up and dropped us off at the train station in Assisi.  The grounds of the house are wonderful, the view from our room, the Amalfi room was like a dream looking out over the rolling hills, sunflower fields with Assisi, Monte Falco and Cannara in sight.
Breakfast was very pleasant, the room and bathroom was comfortable, clean and pleasant.  Their dog is a wonderful, friendly outside only pet that is well behaved around people.
We did not have a car so Enrico was friendly enough to drop us off and pick us up in town, but I recommend having a vehicle if you stay here so you can make the most of the visit.  The primary reason we stayed here was because we did the day long wine tour with Gusto Wine Tours of Umbria and it was the highlight of our vacation in Italy!

Lovely stay with lovely owners, welcome to the warm welcome, great cleanliness of the place, in the owners' house in a shady countryside... calm, clean, warm... delicious typical breakfast! Bravo!
