My husband and I just spent 6 nights in Marta and Marco's wonderful B&B Lago Maggiore and were fully satisfied! The B&B is in a great location, a 10 - 15-minute walk up the hill from the center of Cannobio, in beautiful, natural and peaceful surroundings, with fantastic views of the Lago Maggiore and mountains. Walking and hiking paths through the forest and to nearby villages are just outside the door. The rooms and apartment are lovely, newly renovated and sparkling clean. Marta is a wonderful, friendly and generous host. She prepares a really nice breakfast each morning, with coffee, juice, muesli, fresh fruit, bread and croissants, yoghurt, eggs, cheese, salami and more. This common room is also accessible throughout the day, with complementary tea, cake, fruits etc. Marta and Marco are very helpful, providing information about restaurants and even helping with reservations. One could not ask for kinder or more friendly hospitality or more lovely accommodations! This was our second visit to B&B Lago Maggiore, and we will definitely return!

What a wonderful experience! Perfect! Comfortable room, wonderful breakfast, magnificent view. Well located, ie, close to city but quiet and very short drive away. מומלץ לקהל איכותי המחפש ריחוק  ושלווה.

very nice b & b located on a hill with a beautiful view of the lake. Very good and fresh breakfast (salami cheese) modern and clean room. recommended . Marta is a lovely person she gave us the feeling that she is there to make our vacation the best one!!!

This is such a picturesque B&B set on the hillside with a fantastic view of the lake from the rooms and the terrace where you have breakfast... unbeatable! It is worth navigating the narrow road that takes you there, so no complaints from us! Marta gave us a very warm welcome and a drink on the terrace when we arrived which was SO appreciated. It allowed us to just absorb the surroundings & unwind from travelling before seeing our room & unpacking. Ours was the Blue room... we loved it as it seemed spacious and light with a free standing wardrobe and easy chair. Two large windows in the bedroom and a small window in the bathroom (which I always prefer to have) Very comfy bed! There was a fan which was great as it kept air circulating and we didn't feel too hot. Everything was spotlessly clean and soap & shower gel provided. Also a small kettle and tea/coffee which was fab. Marta explained we could help ourselves to milk from the fridge and also chilled water for free in the breakfast room. She noted that I'd just had my birthday (from passport!) the day before and gifted me a bottle of wine too which was so kind.

We really enjoyed sitting outside our room & looking out over the peaceful lake on the chairs & table provided (plus citronella candle to keep mozzies away!) The gardens are tended beautifully so it's really attractive.

Breakfast was superb. Our own basket of rolls & 2 excellent croissants were provided and we helped ourselves to fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts etc. A selection of quality freshly sliced meat & cheese was offered & brought out personally. The best we've had in 3 weeks of travel! Marta also offered a soft boiled egg & it was perfect. Service was very attentive & coffee freshly prepared. We appreciated hearing about the local markets and having recommendations of restaurants for dinner. We enjoyed all of them immensely. 

We hope to return again as Cannobio is such a delightful town and there is plenty to do. One highlight was to go to the river and swim... amazing to watch the rock climbers at the gorge and the scuba divers too. We thoroughly recommend B&B Lago Maggiore! 

Perfect spot for relaxation!

B&B Lago Maggiore may be one of the best hotels they've ever stayed at. The views are incredible; it's modern; lots of hot water; great water pressure; the shower drains; but the best part is the staff. We have never met such wonderful people. The breakfast is fabulous. There's no way to describe how wonderful this place is; you just have to go there and experience it for yourself.

WHEN I DIE I WANT TO GO TO B&B LAGO MAGGIORE

This is a highly recommended bed and breakfast. The view over Lago Maggiore is amazing and unbeatable. I don't think I had a nicer view ever during breakfast. 

In addition you have two lovely sisters running this place and the rooms have all amenities you need. The town of Cannobio is a 10 minute walk away - be aware it is a steep hill.  

All in all HIGHLY recommended!!!

Amazing Bed and Breakfast 

This is not an average B&B, but the overall rating gets there due to some plus and minuses.

The best part is, by far, the view. Its location is quiet and relaxing up on the hill, not in the town itself. It's a very steep and narrow road to get in/out, about 10-15 min walk from the edge of the old town. If you are taking a car, be aware that parking in old town is hard to find.

The room was quite modern, with beautiful furnishings and nice decor, but it looks better than it works. Wi-fi was spotty, unreliable. The room door (really a balcony door) is really hard to open/close/lock, and the sunlight is not blocked at all. However, the worst part is the bathroom, where we found it impossible to shower without getting half the bathroom wet. There is no door/curtain in the shower stall, and the floor is not properly slanted towards the drain. There is even a floor squeegee inside the stall for you to try to avoid a complete flood!

Breakfast was a positive point, served outside, with a fantastic view, with plenty of choices. Service was good, but an unusual negative point is that they only take cash.

Overall, the positives may outweigh the negatives, but I'm not sure I'd stay here again.
