Palazzo Gallotti is a unique place, a residence/castello with a magnificent garden that could be a museum, full of works of art and wonderful rooms with ancient and immense chimneys, antique furnishings, imposing stairs, paintings and sculptures, colorful ancient windows. You get lost, once you enter, and in every room you find yourself breathless for the beauty and culture you breathe in. But, unlike a museum, it is a living and authentic inn inhabited by a family that lives in it, cares for it and maintains it with love and dedication. In my one-night stand I had to share some of these spaces with them and I was conquered by them. Miriam, Roberto and their bed and breakfasts have been overtaken by the beauty and culture that you breathe in them.

It's a fairy tale night and a delicious awakening!

The couple and their two daughters are a perfect complement to this setting: kind, available, informed about all the possibilities offered by this beautiful southern part of Cilento. Even grandparents have devoted their time to us with pleasant anecdotes. Absolutely recommended for those who want to slow down the pace, enjoy two chats between friends and visit these places with greater awareness.... very comfortable: bed in a very comfortable room.

What a lovely vacation!

We stayed at this property for 3 nights. A magical place, very clean rooms and a beautiful garden. We didn't have the bathroom in the room but in return it was spacious and immaculate and was, in any case, reserved only for us. The breakfast is genuine, consisting of marmalades made with their fruits, their butter, yogurt, bread and homemade cakes. You taste the real taste of things, forgetting (fortunately) the industrial flavor to which you are accustomed. Roberto and Miriam, the owners, have always come to meet our needs and made us feel at home.. kind, cordial and very simple. We have surely found a reference point for the Cilento where we will return!

A jewel

A stay in the Palazzo Battaglia means not only wonderful relaxation and relaxation, delicious food and living in the walls of the medieval castle, but above all a hearty company with the whole Simone Gallotti family. The hosts take great care of the well-being of their guests, dedicate them to the fineness of the Mediterranean cuisine: in the morning, this means tasting the various homemade marmalades from the fruits of the garden. Each day offers new common temptations, delicious cakes or homemade pasta!

La dolce vita in the Cilento

If you're thinking of going to relax in the country... forget it! More than a vacation, it looks like you're in prison. Marked in sight by invading, noisy, confusing owners. They ruin the whole atmosphere of the place, which if it weren't for poor management would be really nice. Know that the description of the place is not true, the rooms don't have a bathroom in the room, one of the many things you don't understand. Hot water is a utopia. In the rooms it's forbidden to smoke but be careful, there's no signals that you're smoking!!! The wi-fi only gets the signal in the living room, not in the bedrooms.

Boiled

This is undoubtedly the most disastrous experience of my life. My stay at this facility was a couple of hours, we practically escaped as much as they managed to make us uncomfortable. Consider being at home with the owners, with the bathroom outside the room, zero privacy and great chaos. I would recommend this facility, run by improvised hotel owners who believe a nice location is enough and the game is done!

Disgrace reigns!

The historic home is both familiar and evocative. The hospitality received by the exquisite owners. The ideal place to relax and take a dip in the past. The place is enchanting, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the cuisine is excellent and all natural. Ideal for families too.

The most beautiful secret of the Silent Park

We spent three nights together in the Palazzo Galotti and felt very comfortable. Both in our room, which was lovingly decorated and absolutely clean, as well as during arrival, breakfast and during the entire stay, it could not have been better. Miriam and Roberto gave us excellent advice when planning our walks and choosing the restaurants and we had a great time. Breakfast was at flexible times according to our wishes and simply tasted heavenly - cheese, cube, honey, marmalade, broth - everything was made easier, the food and very special. The neighborhood around the Palazzo was very pleasant. Some beach walks as well as the mountains can make us know the wonders of life.

Wonderful accommodation for relaxation in a family friendly and pleasant environment

B&B Palazzo Gallotti is wonderful! The building dates back to the 15th Century and is still in the ownership of the same family.

Miriam and Roberto gave us a very warm welcome and we immediately felt completely comfortable. The building itself is fascinating and it’s interesting to hear about the on-going renovations, and also the lifestyle that Miriam and Roberto lead with their family, which revolves around being close to nature and self-sufficient. For example, their own bees provide honey (delicious at breakfast on their homemade bread) whilst their orchards provide fruit for jams and preserves and hens provide eggs.

The Palazzo is nestled into the side of a huge Mountain and in fact the driveway is very steep! Being such an old Palazzo the building is very substantial and feels solid and castle-like. Features such as high ceilings, double-doors and archways between rooms all contribute to the almost fairytale experience of staying in a Palazzo and our very comfortable bedroom had a view of the mountain, which we soon went to explore. The B&B is very well-placed in the Cilento National Park and there are many interesting places to visit. Whilst you may be keen on hiking and walking (Miriam & Roberto also offer hiking holidays) a car is necessary if you are to explore further afield.

The Cilento National Park area is beautiful and awe-inspiring with huge mountains, beautiful waterfalls and pretty villages. The coast is only a 30min drive away and heading South you’ll find a coast line similar to the Amalfi coast but with far fewer tourists. A few of the local places that we visited and would recommend are: the villages of Vibonate and Morigerati and the Grotte del Bussento.

Our lasting impression of the 3 days we spent at Palazzo Gallotti is more one of visiting friends rather than staying at a B&B and we are keen to make a return visit. We can’t recommend highly enough.

Can't recommend highly enough!

Maybe it's human error. Maybe you don't notice a booking when, when booking from booking, we had the confirmation email for the booking that was made, and the owners of the property didn't find it. The fact is that we arrived at the bed and breakfast (just after 4 pm since check-in is from 4 pm onwards) and we didn't find anyone.
