We stayed 2 days at Il Mulino and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Katia and Sergio. The dinners were excellent and we can only recommend including half board in your stay. The room was really nice and big so we had everything that we needed. We will certainly go back.

Excellent stay

With a group of friends, we make 3-4 days bicycle trips through the Alps every summer.  We have been doing this for 12 years now and in my opinion, Il Mulino delle Fucine is the best place we have encountered. The rooms are simple but nice and clean, while the food is truly amazing. On top of that, the host is extremely friendly and helpful, and I could not believe how low the total price was. This place is unbeatable in its price range.

A wonderful place, unbeatable in its price range

My children and I were lucky enough to chance upon Il Mulino Delle Fucine on the Agriturismo website! What a lovely cosy place and what wonderful warm welcoming hosts - and delicious food! I made the mistake of asking for a small meal at dinner to avoid overeating but I won't do that next time as i watched all the wonderful meals coming out with envy. Casteldelfino is a pretty little town tucked away in the mountains - perfect for a weekend getaway.

This place has a quirky charm but the food is a very welcome surprise. We really only did a stopover here, which unless you are walking, cycling or skiing is the only other reason, as Casteldelfino is tiny and whilst pretty, there is nothing there except a bizarre outdoor museum of saints. Our room and bathroom were basic but clean and had everything we needed with lovely views from a balcony. The real surprise here was the food. There is no menu and sometimes you are given a choice, other courses are simply put in front of you, but it was all very very high standard with good wine and very, very good value. If you stay here, eat here.
The owner is lovely but speaks virtually no English - he and I communicated in heavily accented (mine and his) French, but he seemed to get by, and even out of season he was quite busy.
This place is basic and has no service or amenities, but is really great for the price and if you are looking for somewhere to lay your head for the night, we had a room with a double and 2 singles in it, 2 of us had breakfast and dinner and a bottle and a half of wine for EUR110!
