Nice place, simple, but nothing was missing, clean, varied breakfast and swimming pool, very nice owners, two steps from the lake and the boat and five steps from the interior of Castile, a pity we stayed only for one night.

Just relax.

We had a great week here in Residence Castiglione where we were very well looked after. Beds made every day, towels changed when needed and anything that was asked was dealt with promptly. 
The pool was chilly and the sunshine was hot so that was great too!

Lovely apartment in a beautiful town.

A lovely stay in peaceful surroundings. Perfect hosts couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating including a beautiful breakfast spread on our last day and a lift when we needed one to nearby event.
Rooms whilst basic are very clean and nice pool area.

Short break to attend sailing event with family

Clean and furnished rooms. The owners are very available and very kind. With a small price add you have a rich and varied breakfast: sweet, salty and fruit... all fresh. The location is strategic. It's also suitable for families. The price is fashionable.

Perfect vacation at a modest price

Residence with a vintage flavor, but with all the comforts. Breakfast rich and varied, abundant and tasty. Apartment/room equipped with all the comforts, there is also a mini-kitchen that can be closed. In the structure there is also a swimming pool and a relaxing corner.

Nice discovery.

I last reviewed the Residence Castiglione in 2013 and thought I would do an update.  I have stayed here most years since 1994 so that in itself is a huge tick for this great apartment hotel.   Apart from the location why do I keep coming back?  Well Ivanella and her husband make you feel so welcome.

Walking distance from the charming hilltown of Castiglione del Lago (10 mins uphill). and the lakeside is about 100m away.  There is a lovely pool and garden with plenty of loungers. It is a lovely spot to relax or if you prefer there is a beach by the lake, but then you won’t get the occasional surprise of free ice cream.

Ivanella is very kind and helpful and makes every effort to put guests at their ease. Many of the guests have also been going for years - some stay for several weeks, others just a few days. Nothing is too much trouble from advice on restaurants, where to shop and information on the various tourist spots or to help with a crisis.

This apartment hotel has studios, 1-2 bedroom apartments or bedrooms on their own (most have air conditioning).  The decoration is bright and airy and refreshed annually.  The studios or apartments have a kitchenette with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.  There are drying racks available outside if you need to hang out clothes or beach towels to dry.

Continental breakfast is available and there’s also a small bar to buy cold drinks , beer and other alcoholic beverages.  For those that want to cook/eat in, there are supermarkets close by.

This is a wonderful  spot for couples, friends or families, but good for someone travelling alone as well. 

Room tip: All the rooms are fine, so it depends on the type of accommodation you want. Even the rooms on the street side are quiet and noise is not a problem unless you dislike bird song.

Still a great place to stay

The rooms were cold and humid, but they warm up quickly. The structure was obviously dated, but welcomed us warmly and enthusiastically, leaving us with nothing to miss: they also set up a dinner table (Hallowen's night).

Off-season reception

It's just a short walk from the lake and the village. It's very friendly, friendly and friendly. The room is clean and spacious. It has a kitchen, bathroom with shower. It's a double bed and bunk bed. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, sweet and salty.

Feel like you're being booed!

Finding a shortage in the Castiglione Residence is practically impossible from the facility to the exceptional owners super clean structure and rooms, beautiful pool with bunk beds, strategically positioned to spend a day on the lake or to board a boat to the islands or to go on foot in the historic downtown Breakfast TOP, with table service, FENOMENAL pastry brioches fresh every morning as said kindness of the crazy owners, attention to everything change the laundry in the bathroom as well as room remodeling even if only two nights that say, overnight and see you soon thanks for a longer holiday thanks thanks

Very nice and friendly owners, strategic location, very good breakfast, served on a terrace above the pool, clean room with air conditioning quality ratio excellent price.
