This is a fantastic holiday retreat which we all loved (myself, my wife and two kids aged 10 & 8). Barbara and Marcus are fantastic hosts and both speak a little English. The accommodation is made up of several bungalows - which all look pretty similar with great facilities. Ours was spotless and Barbara kindly cleaned it after our first week.  Each has a drive way and space for the car and ours had two good sized bedrooms. The beds were comfortable and air con is in every room except the bathroom. There is a kitchen and dining table and each bungalow has it's own 'balcony' area with BBQ and outside seating (including x2 deck chairs). It is a short walk to the pool which is a great size and in our two weeks was never crowded or unpleasant. Our Italian neighbours (other holiday makers) were all friendly and engaging.  Our kids loved the pool and we ended up spending a couple of days there without going to the beaches or towns.  This area of Italy appears to be less crowded than other beach areas for no good reason (possibly it's history is against it if you are Italian but as an English family it has everything). We chose Italy because there are few Brits. Italians are far more helpful than others and they will engage with you if you try to speak a bit of Italian. There are plenty of great Beaches (Castiglioni della Pescaia is only a short drive away and is our favourite). All Italian beaches have great facilities and you don't have to hire sun beds if you don't want to. The restaurants round about are all fabulous, including the roadside restaurants (Lisa's and Grazia). We had a lovely holiday and we thoroughly recommend this fabulous place to relax and base yourself in the area. Thank you Barbara and Marco you are fabulous hosts 

Fabulous accommodation 

Barbara and her family were excellent, generous hosts. The apartments are spacious, modern, clean and with killer views over the countryside all the way to the sea. It's perfectly located, short drives from many f the beautiful Tuscan beaches. The common area is often stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables which you are allowed and encouraged to take to your rooms and take home when you leave. The pool is often a site for meeting people, for kids to play and for refreshing late afternoons. The area is beautiful, the location incredible and the facilities wonderful. Highly recommended.

wonderful experience

This is an authentic pearl of a country home close to the sea in Castiglione della Pescaia that has just been announced as the best beach in Italy 2015 - the Agriturismo produces its own wine, oil and has fields with the famous artichoke of Pian di Rocca and many fruit trees. The houses are amongst olive yards, wild rosemary, palm trees and big bushes of flowers with an incredible amount of butterflies whirling around. The atmosphere is soothingly relaxing and the family that runs the place makes you feel at home in this little paradise immediately. At night the silence is amazing at your terrace overlooking the surrounding hills, and at day you can enjoy a swim in the pool that has a stunning view over the sea of Castiglione della Pescaia. It was our first time at Agriturismo Val di Nappo, and we already miss it, and will for sure be back to re-see that friendly family with much love to their land and surroundings, AND discrete yet loving attention to their guests! If you look for great beaches (both Castiglione and Punta Ala) and all the charm and calm of the countryside this is the place to go in Maremma!
