Good location near Catania Centrale railway station (direct trains to Rome and Milan). Old town within five minutes' walk. B&B is located on the second floor of a large residential and commercial building. No breakfast - reception is served only on pre-booked arrival. Rooms are clean and surprisingly large. Good price. Owner wishes a good rating in the booking portal before arrival.

Good location at the train station - Affordable price.

I stayed in this B&B with my colleagues for three days. I don't feel like recommending it at all, especially if you're there to support a competition or for work and, therefore, you have special needs. The rooms have heating, but the rest of the apartment doesn't. Showering was really unpleasant, given the temperature of the bathroom. Not to mention the fact that by the second day the toilet paper was finished, and it was never restored. Going back only in the evening, it meant that there was no way to buy it, even if you wanted to.

Not recommended

Only when my guests who I had booked for arrived did we find out that breakfast was not included and even though the breakfast fee was deducted from the total however it was not possible to use the kitchen as it lacked gas so unusable so it would be the case that they updated the breakfast and kitchen information because it is not true

Misrepresentation

The best starting point for traveling in eastern Sicily. The B&B is so ideally located that you can get up and go to sleep with the etna. From the breakfast room and balcony, the etna is to be admired in any weather. Buses are around the corner and the city centre can be easily reached on foot in 45 minutes. Upon arrival, a landlord welcomes Erica warmly. She is also always accessible during the stay, if there are any questions or wishes. The rooms are always clean and I also use the rooms so that I feel at home. Together with her husband Paride, who can show you the best places at the etna and outstanding advice for breakfast in Tolia, this is an ideal accommodation for groups and I would not call it a perfectly normal hotel in the city, but it is not always a small hotel, but it is always a good place to stay in the city, but I would not call it a hotel without the presence of a small volcano, and the city of Catania is not a place to stay in the morning.

A Feeling of Home

A good B&B but with some flaws! The bathroom is not in the room even though it is private, very high the heat jump between the room and the hallway to get to the bathroom on the indicated, this is because the hallway lacks heating (maybe in summer will be better)!

Advised, but...

Unfortunately we stayed for only one night, the rooms and bathrooms are very neat in the finishing and details, each with a different theme, which recalls the beauty of Sicily, excellent cleanliness and the hospitality of the owners, sorry for the bad weather otherwise you would have seen the Etna.

We will definitely be back!!!!!

Excellent apartment and excellent host. We booked a week here with excursions with the outstanding owner and guide. It surpassed expectations. The owner responded by email and was always clear. The guesthouse is top floor of apartment block in a residential area. Lovely marble floors, fantastic air con and wifi! Rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean and well decorated, furnished. Beds were comfy. Linen changed every other day, bundles of towels, and extra for a beach day. Owner offered us use of washing machine too during our stay. Breakfast was plentiful, fridge stocked with fresh fruit, yogurts, many juices and iced tea, jams, cereals, cakes and pastries, coffee machine, chilled water and tea/kettle in rooms too. This was topped up during our stay. You would never go hungry! Paride the owner ensures your stay is excellent and genuinely cares that you have a wonderful experience. Safe area with cafe bar and bakery across the road. Also amazing fish restaurant opposite which delighted us and the kids on 3 visits! Views of Etna from the kitchen and balconies. Street noise not a problem at all. Also access to city or other supermarkets easy. Less than 5 min walk to supermercato. Bus along end of road to get into town. Quiet, comfy. Great stay. or 4 nights we were the only ones there and felt like we had a whole apartment to ourselves. Felt like I had been looked after by family. An exceptional host. Would certainly recommend both the guesthouse and trips with Paride. Top place. Best guide. Many thanks. Loved it.

Excellent stay with Etna view. Missing it already!

I had already given my opinion on the Etna Sicily Guide - Day tours agency for those who are in Catania to go to the Etna. This was an opportunity to talk about the Paride guesthouse, the agency's guide. I repeat a small post for those who are not going to the Etna but want to live in Catania. I simply copied what I wrote on this occasion: We stayed for 6 days at the Paride and Erica guest rooms. The room is beautiful and well-maintained as well as the personal bathroom. There is a kitchen to prepare his meals. Since then it is even possible to make a laundry. The situation of the room is a little out of the way, we can easily reach the square in Bellna (NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Additional opinion

B&B Etna Guest house is located some 5 km outside of city center of Catania but still in a suburb. From the railway / bus station there is a bus 443 going near to B&B but if you are not sure where to step out you can take a taxi for 15 eur. A taxi from Catania airport costs 20 eur.

B&B is located on a top floor of multi-storey building. There is a lift. There are totally 3 rooms and each room has a private bathroom in a hallway. The room was very clean, spacious, light and there was a private balcony. The room was air conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. It was very nice to have an electric kettle for water cooking in a room. Special thanks go to very strong and stable WiFi and soft bed. The bed was not at all typical Italian hard and quite narrow bed but very comfortable to sleep. Also pillow and linen were of good quality. Soundproofing was very Italian instead. Bring ear plugs if you are light sleeper because the window and balcony face to a busy street and traffic continues through the night.

There is a shared fully equipped kitchen where guests can make their own breakfast. There is coffee, tea and dry bread and cake available. Just across from B&B there is a bakery and also a café serving breakfast. There is a wonderful view to Etna Volcano from the kitchen.

The owner of B&B is also a guide at Etna Sicily Guide Association. He arranges tours to Etna and picks you up from B&B. B&B Etna Guest house is a nice base to visit Catania and it´s great benefit is location near Etna volcano. It takes much more time to drive to Etna volcano from Catania center because traffic is always very heavy. I can recommend B&B Etna Guest house to everyone.

B&B Etna Guest house with a wonderful Etna Volcano view

We stayed at the B&B in Paris for only one night, but we were fascinated by the care and attention with which Paride handles it. Very clean and tidy the rooms each with its own particular theme. The B&B is completely new and broadcasts hospitality: it was inevitable not to feel at home. Paride was a perfect guest for us: he provided us with good and valid directions on what to do in Catania.
