Villa Teresa

Myself and my wife Julia stayed here in June as part of a group of 16. No wedding or big occasion (apart from it being our 30th wedding anniversary, which was just a coincidence). The Villa has the 'wow factor' on approach. There are at least 8 double rooms (all en-suite) and the 4 on the second floor have kitchens, albeit basic. (no fridges) But you can use the main kitchens fridge downstairs, if you need to keep stuff cool, Like we did with the wine.!!!! The main town, Cavriglia, is about 10 minutes walk away, and you don't have to use the main road (which has no footpath). The owners will direct you to a path across the fields which will get you there safely. The town is small but there is a Co=op there which is amply stocked with everything you need. There is also two restaurants and a couple of bars. If you want to go further a field, then you will need a car. Breakfast is provided and, if you want, they will cook an evening meal for you. We took them up on this option on two out of our seven nights and the food was wholesome and well prepared. (if you don't like much salt, then tell them before they start cooking, 'cause they do like their salt, especially on the cod). The infinity pool is large and the views are breathtaking. It is a couple of minutes walk from the house, but there are W.C. and showering facilities there There is a small sun terrace on the roof, but no chairs/beds up there for sunbathing. (plenty by the pool though) I would return.
